RETREAT DETAILS
Surf Mountain Retreat offers private accommodation right on the doorstep of Mount Buller. The Retreat is set on two levels which enables flexible accommodation packages for families and groups. We are also a pet friendly home!

--UPSTAIRS--
Upon entering, you'll be in awe of the beautiful open plan design comprising of a large lounge area, floor to ceiling windows and comfy sofas. Sit back and relax in front of the fire place while you soak in the 180 degree views of Mount Buller and the green lush bushland and wildlife that surround our Retreat.

Upstairs comprises of four large bedrooms all with built in wardrobes and plenty of cupboard space for clothes and suitcases. All bedrooms have wall panel heating.

Upstairs sleeping arrangements are as follows.
* Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed with Ensuite and large TV
* Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed
* Bedroom 3 - Queen Bed and 1 x Triple Bunk Bed (double bed & single bed)
* Bedroom 4 - Queen Bed and 1 x Triple Bunk Bed (double bed & single bed)

Entertaining is a breeze at our retreat with a large 12 seater dining table and a fully equipped kitchen. Step out onto the undercover balcony, cook up a BBQ, play cards around our large outdoor setting or soak in the large outdoor spa.

To cold on the deck? Step back inside and snuggle up on the sofas with the sound a crackling fire place, watch a DVD, listen to a record or enjoy the free wifi. We also have a variety of boardgames and books to keep all ages occupied.

The drying room is situated at the entrance of the the Retreat where you can fit all your wet gear after a day out on the slopes, so the next day you’re all ready to go.

It is our expectation that our property is solely used for quiet holiday purposes and that guests understand this before booking. The rules in place are to protect our home, the relationship with our neighbours and community. It is important to read our house and property terms and conditions before booking the property. This includes security bonds, extra cleaning fees, check out process and noise restrictions.

We do not accept INSTANT bookings that involve parties or groups of adults more than 12. Please contact us if you have bookings larger than 12 adults.

Please note that Surf to Mountain has safety measures in place to protect our property and the safety of guests. Security Cameras are placed at the front (carport and facing out to the road) and rear deck over back sliding door and spa (facing away from the property towards the back yard). While these devices do record activity (movement and sound), they are not designed to be intrusive of your stay and are solely used for security & safety purposes only. No recording devices are located inside or face inside the property (please see our terms and conditions for further information).

Snow trip to Buller

Property is well located and close to the Mt Buller however it's not very close as it is advertised. It will take 30 mins min during the snow season to get to the Mt Buller Village. Facilities are very good except one issue with the sliding door opening to the spa. Sliding door is stuck and very difficult to open. It would have been nice if host considered extra hour late check out to celebrate my partners birthday on that day. Our request was denied which was unpleasant for us.

THIS PROPERTY IS A SCAM!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ACCOMMODATION. You will be asked to pay for damages that you haven't even done and try and rip you off even for normal cleaning. Heaps of other options around the area. Luckily VRBO and ACCC gives enough options to protect the guests otherwise this host will try and make as much money as possible out of guests.

Christmas 2024

Family get away to recover from Christmas. Perfect get away from it all, with views to die for and a hot tub on the deck. Also lots of wildlife. Plenty of room with self contained area on lower floor.

Nice stay with some caution

Amazing place very spacious with well kitted out kitchen. House has a nice view to Mt Buller. The sheets were clean and house was clean. Overall the price wasn’t worth the $1000 a night we paid. Due to; - BBQ was pretty dirty and the collector tray full - There is a ring camera facing the jacuzzi which made us uncomfortable as they could access and see people in bathing suits. - Downstairs is a hit dull

Long weekend

Our family had a great time,wonderful location with spectacular views. The bottom half of the house is a little tired,with quite a lot of work that needs to be done. We loved that the kitchen was very well equipped,better than any other places we’ve stayed. thanks for your lovely house.

Good for large groups

This property is great for large groups that still want their own space. It has two levels, both with kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen pots and pans are a bit tired so you may need to bring your own. Be aware when booking that the price advertised is only for 8 people. Any extra and you’re charged $50pp per night.

What a View!

We had the most perfect weekend at Surf to Mountain Property. The house was very spacious with high ceilings and panoramic view of the mountains. The house had everything you needed to have a relaxing get away. We will defiantly be back for a much longer stay. Thanks Tony.
