"The house itself is very cool. They layout, design and materials used to build this house are great. We were amazed that no bugs ever came in considering there are no glass windows or screens (just open air windows with wood shutters). When you have all the shutters open you really feel like you’re connected to the nature outside. No air conditioners here if you need that comfort, hence the reason for my review title. "My husband and I stayed a week at Casa Verde. The cabin is very eclectic/rustic, but had everything we needed. Annie the owner was extremely easy to get in contact with and is very helpful with any questions we had.If you want a laid back get away close to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants, we can recommend 100%! "Read the small print! First look said it had a pool, whole house to yourself , washer and dryer at 20$ a load? A/C did not work, TV remote was broken, no streaming ? Place needs some TLC. Gas stove was a little scary and ran out. Water pressure was horrible (except the outdoor shower, that was good, electric power showed water in port in American I phones . "Unique experience surrounded by a lush garden. The curtains makes a very nice soft light during the day. Obviously in an open space you can't have AC... The heat can be a bit too much sometimes. Just be aware of that."

"It was absolutely fantastic! Troy accommodated us in every way possible and we would happily stay again. His recommendations for dining were spot on, and we enjoyed them throughout our trip. His place was easily accessible with wildlife nearby, as well as excellent food and beach access. Can’t wait to return!"

"You can hear cars from the road but other than that it’s great! Clean, comfortable beds, good WiFi. Close to the beach and grocery stores/restaurants. "

"Topo’s treehouse was amazing! The kids loved it…parents did too! We saw several red eyed frogs, red and green poison dart frogs and many birds. Quick walk to the beach and reggae beach bar. Highly recommend! One of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed! "
