  • Esta encantadora propiedad es fantástica para los amantes del senderismo y el ciclismo que desean explorar el hermoso bosque de Dean. Planta baja:
    Sala de estar: con chimenea eléctrica de efecto carbón, TV con canales Freeview, reproductor de DVD, vigas y piso de roble.
    Cocina / comedor: con horno eléctrico, encimera de gas, microondas, nevera, congelador, lavavajillas, lavadora, vigas y suelo de piedra.
    Dormitorio 1: con cama doble, cama individual, cama plegable y TV con canales Freeview.
    Cuarto húmedo: con ducha, inodoro y pasamanos.
    Primer piso:
    Dormitorio 2: con cama de matrimonio, TV con canales Freeview y baño privado con cabina de ducha y WC. Cuna de viaje y trona. Patio con muebles de jardín. Jardín trasero cerrado con césped. Se admiten 2 perros, que se mantendrán en un plomo (granja de trabajo). No Fumar. Nota: hay 2 escalones en el jardín. . Todas las propiedades: calefacción central de gas, gas, electricidad, ropa de cama, toallas y Wi-Fi incluidos. Paquete de bienvenida. Terrenos ajardinados con área de césped (compartido con otras propiedades en el sitio). Tienda de bicicletas. Estacionamiento privado para 2 autos. No Fumar. . Ubicados dentro de los terrenos de la casa y la granja de trabajo del propietario, estas dos conversiones de granero adosadas de una sola planta y cabañas independientes son cómodas casas de vacaciones para explorar las delicias que el Bosque de Dean tiene para ofrecer. Se puede organizar un recorrido por la granja para ver el ganado directamente con el propietario.
    Cada propiedad se beneficia de una estufa de leña o de un fuego eléctrico con efecto carbón, perfecto para mantenerse acogedor en los meses de invierno. Al frente de las propiedades hay un área de césped compartida donde los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de picnics.
    Cider Press Barn (ref. UK12379) ofrece tres habitaciones, dos dobles, una con baño en suite y otra individual. En la parte trasera de la propiedad hay un jardín privado con patio cerrado con una barbacoa incorporada, ideal para cenar al aire libre. El patio en sí es una trampa para el sol y es perfecto para relajarse por las noches.
    Lambing Shed (ref UK12380) es una propiedad con mucho carácter, aunque lo que realmente destaca es la atención y el pensamiento que se ha dirigido a la cocina y al espacio habitable, alentando a las familias a pasar tiempo juntos. La estufa de leña está rodeada por una destacada pared de ladrillo abierta, que proporciona un atractivo rústico. Desde la ventana de la cocina tiene una gran vista del patio de la granja y de los campos. Fuera de la sala de estar hay una habitación doble con baño privado, y más abajo en los pasillos hay una habitación doble y un baño con ducha.
    En el bosque de Dean, hay muchos sitios de picnic, caminos y ciclovías. Las actividades al aire libre son abundantes con paseos a caballo y en canoa disponibles en el área local y la ciudad catedral de Gloucester está a poca distancia en automóvil. Tienda y pub de menos de 1 milla, restaurante 1½ millas.

Lydney

We enjoyed the house which was well maintained and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for us. There is plenty to do locally and we even went to Cardiff by train.

a welcome break

The Lodge was an excellent place to stay. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking an evening meal. Just what we needed as we are in out late 70s and early 80s and like to relax in a evening. We booked for 4 people as we came from Cyprus and wanted family to visit. My Granddaughter joined us for 2 nights. we would definitly recommend the LODGE to our friends

Long weekend

The Lodge is a charming property. It is decorated nicely - cosy but not fussy. The kitchen facilities are good, with a reasonable selection of crockery and cooking equipment. Having items for dogs in one of the cupboards is a lovely touch. We used the outside table with parasol as we had lovely weather. The garden is planted up nicely, with lots of herbs. Everything was really comfortable.

Cosy retreat just what we needed

This is an awesome holiday rental there is absolutely everything you need for your stay. Located to excellent local shops and facilities only a short drive. We found a brilliant local butchers within walking distance. Our stay was made all the better by having access to all our needs.

Laura and Richard made us very welcome. The cottage was clean and comfortable and ideal for my disabled mum. Richard even went to the trouble of laying some gravel down on a slight step for my mum to drive her mobility scooter around the farmyard to see the animals. This is a delightful cottage in the heart of the Forest of Dean, situated on a working farm.

This is a delightful cottage in the heart of the Forest of Dean, situated on a working farm. The property has a large kitchen/diner, a well proportioned living room (although the sofas were not very comfortable) and a ground floor bedroom and large, fully accessible bathroom, ideal for older visitors. The upstairs bedroom was large and comfortable although the ensuite shower was rather cosy! The heating was efficient but beware the towel rails became exceptionally hot. The property was within a walled and hedged area providing a safe space for children. Parking facilities were good and there was secure storage for those travelling with bikes. The smell of the pigs was somewhat overwhelming on 3 of the 7 evenings we stayed at the property although fortunately only when outside the property. A welcome pack would have been nice. A couple of biscuits and 2 sachets of hot chocolate could be improved on. There were no toiletries and only one toilet roll per bathroom, not a spare in sight! The owners were very friendly and welcoming and all in all it was good value.

We found this lovely cottage well equipped, easy to find and built to a high standard.

We found this lovely cottage well equipped, easy to find and built to a high standard. It was peaceful and quiet with four sheep outside our window keeping the grass short. Rich, the owner, introduced himself and his two daughters before going back to his farmhouse across the way. We weren't interrupted and were able to go about enjoying our holiday. Symonds Yat is a must, the view were spectacular. So many castles and Tintern Abbey to see, we'll have to return.

This cottage is lovely. Spacious and well equipped. However the beds were so soft that we ended up with back ache. Could do with at least a medium to film mattress to suit all.

We have enjoyed a lovely stay at The Lodge. It's close to a woodland walk and pub (though no food is served there unfortunately), down the road is a good sized Tesco and Co Op, plus local butchers etc so generally a good spot to visit the locality. The accommodation has a lovely spec, wifi excellent as were the showers and the beds for a good nights sleep..so no problems at all. We had our little Shi Tzu with us so it was important to have an enclosed garden area. The front patio with built in BBQ and seating was great as was the side and back garden. Being part of a farm, the grass area is fenced in by wire fencing to keep with the local countryside but doesn't afford any privacy, though is good for a short run around with the dog. We spent our time sitting and relaxing on the front patio, which was very pretty. The landlords and their family are lovely people and very happy to help. Altogether a lovely trip.
