"Really enjoyed this stay. Wish the directions for the fireplace were more clear, as we couldn't start it since there were no instructions for a particular part, and there also was no shampoo, which was a bit of a hassle. Other than that, the stay was great. They had a delicious breakfast that they happened to be doing which as really nice and the bedding was very comfortable. Amenities were great. Will be back for sure. "

"The cottage was nicely furnished, but was not cleaned very well. It had everything you could need. We got snow and that was great to see. Beds were comfy and fireplace was great! Location was great."

"In summary i would say we got bang for buck. We stayed towards the end of the summer so didnt have to deal with snow but the house was great no issues at all. It has entertainment galore for kids from books to board games to video games. Also only being a stones throw away from northstar village was great. "

"We have an absolutely awesome 5 day stay at the Truckee River House. Honestly, the pictures of the home just don't do it justice - it is gorgeous inside with lots of nice, high-end touches throughout. The deck on the main level has the most beautiful view of the Truckee River, perfect place to sit and drink coffee in the morning. "Even better than the photos! We traveled to the Lake Tahoe area for a family wedding weekend. This property suited our large family. Plenty of space for the young adults and the "old" adults to have their own hang-out areas. Well equipped kitchen and 2!!! fridges and 2!!! dishwashers made meal prep and clean up easy.
