"My wife and 4 young children had a great getaway on Douglas Lake. This home provided a comfortable space in a beautiful setting that was just what we needed. The little beach associated with the neighborhood was a hit! We spent hours swimming in the lake and fishing. There were no kayaks provided at least while we were there but the swimming kept us entertained. We rented a pontoon for an afternoon on Douglas Lake which was beautiful. "My friends and I stumbled upon this property when looking for places to stay close to Knoxville on our road trip. We loved that this would be a special experience - more unique (and also more reasonably priced for some new college grads) than a hotel inside the city. We did have to drive about 30 minutes into Knoxville to pick up some food, but it was not a problem for us. There were 3 of us which housed us perfectly in the Fish House.
