Welcome to this awesome house in this gated community overlooking Taylorsville Lake. Huge Community Pool, sand volleyball & basketball hoop. Large open floor plan with fully stocked kitchen and living room. Huge master bedroom with private deck and whirlpool bathtub. Boat rentals available at the marina seconds away. Kayak and Canoe Rentals nearby.

*This Cottage best accommodates adults and supervised children . The primary guest must be 23 years of age of older.— If you will have more than 6 guests, which require additional bedding usage such as the air mattresses or the sofa sleeper, arrangements must be made in advance of arrival.
You are centrally located to Louisville and Lexington. Go off to the races at the famous Churchill Downs or historic Keeneland Racecourse and the famous thoroughbred horse sales. Lexington boasts the Kentucky Horse Park.The bourbon distilleries are too numerous to mention, but my favorites are Woodford Reserve in beautiful bluegrass horse country and Maker's Mark. Please note that you are also in antiques country. Shelbyville (also home to Bulleit Distillery)and Midway Kentucky both have fun places to eat and shop for antiques, history abounds here also.

Excellent! Everything was very clean and host was very responsive. Perfect central local for all the things we wanted to do while in Kentucky. We really enjoyed the quiet, relaxing gated community the house was in.

Very nice and clean. We had a great stay at this house. Wish there was a view of the lake but it was still nice. Hot tub was clean. Close to the places we wanted to visit but then it was nice to come back to the quiet neighborhood and enjoy the evenings. Bed slept great.

Cabin 36

Great location, we always love staying in Edgewater for our trip. House was clean, equipped with all your needs. The thermostat gave us hiccup, but once we figured it out, no big deal. However, we still didn’t quite understand how we left for the day at 9am and it read 70 degrees, we came home at 5, 81 degrees. Took us a few hours both nights to get cool.

Family Vacation

We had a great stay, the house was good for what we needed it for, there were a few issues with the outlets, it may have been due to the weather though. The beds are a little too firm for our liking but overall I would stay here again.

Loved this cottage!

My husband and our children visited Kentucky to see their grandparents. We were a little further from them than we wanted to be but it worked out amazingly! We LOVED this cottage. It was absolutely perfect for our trip and had everything we could ever need. My dad loved visiting it so much that he wants us to book it again next summer for a week.

Great location

The location was perfect for the Bourban Trail; we made it to 5 distilleries in 2 days! Beds were comfy, hot tub is great and it was very clean. We appreciated the extra blankets, pillows and soft sheets. The area is beautiful and it’s an easy walk to the lake. We only wished for a few more kitchen utensils and dishcloths and towels. We did a bit of cooking and all like to tidy up. Overall we would all stay here again but for much longer.

perfect home for our family

We had a wonderful stay with our grandchildren and children, with each family having their own bedroom and bathroom. We enjoyed the pool and hitting and rented a pontoon at the marina. We had almost everything we needed at the cottage. We would definitely recommend this unit and stay here again. own room and bathroom

Great Week in Bourbon Country

Our group of friends had an unforgettable week at this VRBO property while touring the local bourbon distilleries. The house was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals together, and the living area was cozy for our evening gatherings. The location was ideal, with several distilleries just a short drive away. We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for our bourbon adventure. I highly recommend it!

Nice place

Loved the location. Clean, comfortable property. Bedroom connected to bathroom needs to have warm water adjusted as would not get hot in shower. No problem in other bathrooms. Overall a nice place to stay.

Okay stay but needs maintenance

the worst thing about our stay were the towels smelled like cigerette smoke? Not pleasant when getting out of the shower. Also the bedroom bath shower handle was broken and we could not maintain hot water in that bathroom. Here are some easy things they need to work on and fix: The blender is not capable of making a frozen drink and was cracked. All kitchen pots and pans are well aged with burnt marks. The kitchen light flickered. Lots of spiders above the hot tub. Overall, our stay was the three but the property just needs some maintenance. Launderer definitely needs to eliminate smoking at their facility.

A Bourbon Trail Getaway

I booked this place for my BIL’s 40th. Three nights. It was 6 adults, 3 couples. We could not ask for a more centrally located place. Easy drives to all the great distilleries. But out of the way and peaceful. The views of the lake driving in were amazing. We saw deer and a turkey. You can’t quite see the lake but it’s so pretty from the back deck. When we arrived one of the bathroom showers wouldn’t stop running. I messaged the property manager and she and the owner got back to me right away. The owner and plumber showed up and got to work. She was super apologetic. We had cracked open some beer and enjoyed the hot tub. And she was a hoot! Happened to be from our home state so we had a fun conversation. The place is fully equipped for everything you need even though I bought my vacation kitchen tote. Plenty of everything. The hot tub was lovely. The back deck get a ton of sun, so FYI if that’s an issue. Hot tub plus sun plus beer can end badly if you aren’t drinking water. Definitely want to come back and would 100% book again. The only thing I would change is adding a shower handle to the jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bedroom. You can make it work but not ideal if you aren’t flexible. Beds were very comfy. Plenty of space and privacy. No issues with WiFi at all. Watched the draft and drank bourbon.

Location, location, location….

We (3 couples) wanted a place central to Frankfurt, Louisville and Bardstown - we were doing distillery tours/visits. This worked really well for us. Property was as advertised and clean. The den/living area and the upper level bedroom really needs some lamps but other than that, it was nice. Couple of minor things: There were no toiletries although the description indicated they would be there - had to run to the store the first morning for some soap. Also, there seemed to be a shortage of washcloths as our bathroom only had one.
