We had requested a travel cot and kettle be put in the room for our son. This was done via message to Expedia, email directly to the hotel and telephone call. When we arrived, there was neither in the room. I went and asked reception for these items to be told I couldn’t have a kettle and they would bring me a travel cot. Eventually it was decided I could have a kettle to make up my son’s bottles. The travel cot was brought up to us with no mattress, just some sheets in the bottom which is horrendously unsafe for a baby. When addressed with reception, the man asked me if I was sure there was no mattress in there, as if I were stupid. Eventually on the second night, a mattress was given to us. Why this wasn’t provided with the cot, I have no idea. My son has to sleep in the bed with me on the first night due to unsafe practices.
The hotel room wasn’t particularly clean. There were no hygiene bags in the room and the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. The air con did not work. Overall I absolutely would not return. I spent £205 on this stay and was very disappointed.
