"The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. There are mini splits in every room so it’s easy to regulate the temperature. The 3 levels create lots of individual space for everyone to do their own activities. Our kids had the most wonderful time playing outside in the woods all day long. The area is remote, so come prepared with all your supplies, but it is a fantastic place to spend a weekend away with family/friends. "

"We had a lovely, quiet stay. The remote to the AC might have been out of battery and we should have thought to bring coffee with us (none there, but cute mugs and a coffee pot are available to use). It was a nice, serene respite away from the hustle and bustle of the Fall Foliage Festival in Bedford. "

"We were so happy to find this gem of a house to accommodate our family and pet. It was comfortable in this nicely outfitted house, which was clean & set up in an organized manner to make our stay very enjoyable. The property manager checked in with us & was very accessible.We saw deer & wild turkeys out our windows during our stay. We would definitely book this VRBO again. "

"We've been coming here twice a year for several years, and as always, we had a wonderful stay with our group of two adult couples, 2 teens, and a dog. The location and amenities are perfect, an excellent value, and the hosts are always gracious, communicative, accommodating, and solicitous. "From the moment we pulled down the driveway we knew this place was special. Such an amazing location by a beautiful wide creek with trees, flowers and wildlife surrounding this historic stone cottage. Inside the decor was so welcoming and cozy. The living area was comfy and the kitchen just the right size. The owner is so caring and provided snacks, filtered water (the tap water has a little bit of an odor), coffee and even creamer! She has thought of everything. We had a really busy weekend...

There is plenty of space for any family activity, formal or infomal including a spacious yard for your puppy dog and children to exercise. The location gives convenient access to Altoona and Huntingdon. However, along with the authentic colonial charm there are a variety of floors and steps that senior folks may find hard to navigate.
