"Our room was great - good size and very clean. We had a fabulous view from our balcony across to the port of Amalfi. Breakfast was on the first floor balcony which also had a great view over the beach and port. Breakfast was not a buffet as we have been used to so options were limited but the coffee and staff were great! The location of the hotel was so central to everything in Amalfi town - the cathedral, restaurants, the bus and ferry stations. Highly recommend Hotel Residence in Amalfi. "

"Very nice hotel! We booked a room with an over look and a jacuzzi tub. The water didn’t stay warm enough to fill the tub, but the room was overall very nice. The views were beautiful, the staff so nice and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again! "

"This place is incredible! An amazing cliffside setting with direct access to the emerald water of the Mediterranean. However, because of its setting, there are a lot of stairs (not for those who are out of shape). There are 165 steps down to the accommodation from the main road (staff helped with luggage) and another 300 steps down to the water. "First of all the area is beautiful! Next, the location is second to none! Villa la Tartana is only steps away from the beach, which is super convenient for dining, and getting off and on the ferries. At the hotel, Alfonso at the front desk is the most wonderful person you will ever meet. He went out of his way for us on more than one occasion to find us a Ferry when most were not running, copy bus schedules for us, help us with our luggage, arrange a private driver, etc. He’s just a lovely...

"12/10!! This was truly the best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. The full White Lotus experience. The staff were truly attentive and provided white glove service the entire stay. The breakfast was the best of my life with stunning panoramic views all around. The pool was also a favourite - breathtaking views, beautiful pool and unlimited olives, chips and nuts. My husband and I had the absolute best time staying here during our honeymoon!! "
