"The house was very charming! Highlights were the hardwood floors, tasteful decor, cleanliness, and friendly welcome! The property has been well maintained, with very clean and updated bathrooms, comfortable beds upstairs, and spacious kitchen, dining, and family/living areas downstairs. We played games and watched a couple movies during our stay, and walked the short distance to enjoy the downtown square to shop, dine, and browse the farmers market. And that was all before the Saturday evening...

"Plenty of room to spread out in this large home with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Many thoughtful touches enhanced our stay - luggage racks, hooks, plentiful linens, pod espresso maker, full length mirrors and comfortable furniture in the living room. Enjoyed the screen porch on the summer evenings. 12 minute drive to BMO Center/downtown. "

We had some big storms come in on our first two nights and she communicated wonderfully to check in on us.There was fresh fruit available and it made it easier to come in and rest before we went out for groceries. Among a few other wonderful setups that just made staying more enjoyable.My family loved the open concept! "We LOVED staying at this property while we were in town to see grandkids play soccer. Quiet neighborhood - felt safe and enjoyed hearing the birds in woods nearby. House is decorated with modern and costal themes - so cute. Couch is so comfy and great for stretching out on. The bed had nice linens, extra pillows. "We had 3 generations staying here for a wedding at The Pavilion including the bride and groom and their 2 year old son. It was close to the venue, very family friendly and had everything we needed. It was cozy and quaint, we felt like we were staying at a family's house. Even after the event, there were many late night food options close by. "The cabin is absolutely beautiful, clean, and very large! It was just 4 of us -- 2 adults and our teenage children, and it was wonderful. The location is fantastic -- we loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the view of the lake. It was also close to places we wanted to visit like New Glarus and Decatur Dairy. We used the kayaks and had the lake to ourselves! The campfire was a huge hit as was the pool table. We loved it so much, we are looking forward to booking it again!"

"The bathroom downstairs toilet leaked, the floor was wet the entire time. The ceiling downstairs was leaking, we had to have towels down almost the entire time. The house was NOT CLEANED. I had to spend two hours cleaning it after arriving. There was a dead rat in the kitchen sink drain. We had to sleep with the rancid smell the first night. Owners sent a maintenance man who got half of the rat out of the sink and left. My husband had to open the sink and drain and get the other half. ...

"we enjoyed our stay at this property. The hosts were attentive while still respecting our privacy and obviously wanted to be sure we had a good experience. The space was as described and the pool was terrific. We enjoyed being in a smaller town where we could see stars at night but close enough to Rockford with plenty of things to do. "
