"It was the perfect getaway with family!!! We had 3 teenage boys that thought the loft was their own little apartment!! The lake is just wonderful....such a gorgeous view from the deck and even sitting in the living room made you feel you were outside. Crystal clear water for swimming and kayaking and the kids caught a lot of fish! The beds were oh so comfortable and the location was terrific. Absolutely nothing wrong with the gem. "

"Beautiful property. Can't think of a thing the house didn't have readily available. Kids enjoyed fishing every day, and then spent all their cash at the bait shop and candy store in Hayward. The Fishing Hall of Fame and mini golf were great diversions when it was a little too windy for fishing or paddling. Excellent communication with the host throughout. Highly recommend this property for a wonderful lakeside retreat."

"Good communication and information provided by host prior to check-in. It is a very well cared for property in a beautiful, tranquil location. A doe and her two fawns visited every day. We made use of the games, kayaks, and fire pit. The only down side was we were traveling with a toddler under age 2 and the yard did not have a good play space. "My husband and I were in Barnes for a friend’s birthday on 4th of July weekend, found Dana and Greg’s place, and loved it. They are so friendly and wonderfully accommodating. Plus Sophie is the best doggie greeter in Wisconsin. Thank you for the amazing fire pit and great tour of the lake!! You guys are the best. See you soon."

"This property was all it was represented to be and more. Secluded, quiet and very clean. The master bedroom bed and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well stocked. If fate finds me in the area again I would gladly stay here another time."

"We had the best time!! Very very clean and has everything you’d ever need!! I’ve seen comments regarding the stairs, however my husband has bad knees and did not have any issues with them at all. Host and hostess were so nice and accommodating and available. Highly recommend. If i could give it 10 stars I would. Thank you for everything!"

"This cabin was absolutely perfect for our annual family weekend!! The cabin exceeded our expectations! Not only did it have plenty of space for us to stay, its location was on a quaint lake with a nice sandy beach perfect for relaxing! The owners were very responsive and quick to resolve the very minor things that popped up. "

"We had a great time. My husband brought his boat and it was easy to get in the water. We enjoyed the kayaks but couldn't find the paddle board. The water was a bit weedy for small kids but we brought a blow us pool just in case, and it was great. Outdoor area was comfy and the fire pit was great."
