"Very lovely romantic room with a slipper tub which we were not expecting! The staff are so helpful, my husband bumped his head and cut it and they gave us sticking plasters and antiseptic wipes! Husband said breakfast was wonderful. The best bit was the bed though - literally the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the pillows were like clouds - so good I even asked the hotel to let me know where they buy them and they made the effort to do that and emailed me all the details. "This hotel promised much but fell short in a number of different areas, namely around the room and en-suite. For a 4 star hotel the room was worn around the edges for example the plug socket for the kettle didn't work and the strings for the blinds were broken and then knotted. In addition, the main blind in the bedroom had masking tape on it. A 4 star hotel should have better quality fittings. "It was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The location was great, and it was quiet and peaceful, even when the rest of the city was having a good time. My room was called Indulgence, and I was lucky to have a view, with large windows, of the sea and the small park outside. This proved to be extra useful as I wasn't feeling well one of the days and spent it fully in the room. "Great location but quite noisy. We stayed on a weekend and as the clubs and pubs emptied out there was a lot of shouting and singing from the street so just be aware of that. Room was comfortable and clean but a little underwhelming for the price. Staircase up to room is very narrow so quite difficult to negotiate with luggage. Would not recommend for a person who is not too mobile."
