Service is not good. I tried emailing them and WhatsApp messaging for up to a week in advance with no response. As we were due to arrive after 8 PM and their website said if you’re arriving after eight to let the staff know because there wouldn’t be anybody at the front desk so we weren’t sure what we were going to come into turns out there was somebody there thankfully the pool is really great nice and big. We didn’t pay for breakfast as part of our room rate, but there was a restaurant on site so when we went to try and eat breakfast, we asked if we could eat there. They speak zero English and did not seem to want to communicate with us. but they didn’t seem to have a problem with us grabbing a plate and eating at the buffet when we tried to pay them they acted like we were doing something weird so we just left when we tried to check out. We ask them if they could call a taxi or a tuck tuck for us and they said oh you can just walk. Your next resort is only about a kilometre away. That would be fine if it wasn’t 40° outside with suitcases dragging down the sidewalk I would not recommend this place service is terrible.

Nice hotel near the beach!

Loved it here! Friendly staff that really wants to be helpful all of the time. Some of them aren't so good at English but it doesn't matter cuz they're doing their best and calls other staff that can speak English if it gets to complicated 😊 nice, clean and big room!

Helt okej

Helt ok rum för det priset och relativt bra läge. Endast en person i hela personalen (som bara var där halva dagen) kunde engelska, därav var det svårt att kommunicera med övrig personal. All personal utöver den engelsktalande var inte jätte trevliga men hon vägde upp! Frukosten var inte alls bra, fick fel, fel tid och det kändes ofräscht. Dock mysigt med tanken att det serveras på balkongen.

Fantastiskt boende

Andra gången jag bor på detta underbara hotell. Personalen är så himla trevliga och hjälper en med allt man kan tänkas behöva ha hjälp med. Närheten till Long Beach men ändå att man bor avskilt från stranden och den stora trafikerade vägen gör detta boende helt perfekt.

Nice people and pool. Short walk to the beach. A good value. We liked walking one block to the main drag to eat. Long Beach is our favorite on Koh Lanta. Prices were less resorts there.

Nice hotel

We stayed there for one night only, because the were fully booked, but the hotel was very nice. Clean room, nice pool, and freindly staff :) The location could be better, its quit a walking distance to shops and resturants.

It was mostly good. Fine bed and shower. My only issue was there was nowhere to sit, because for some reason we got the worst room. (The only one without a patio area). Near the beach.

+ Vänlig och hjälpsam personal + Familjär stämning + Bra sängar + Wi-fi + Bra och billig mat i närheten + Mycket bra läge, nära stranden + Fin pool + Massage, hotellets massör rekommenderas varmt - Städning av rummet kunde varit bättre, fick påminna om städning några dagar. - Ödla på rummet några av dagarna - Myror vid golv/fönstret, de tog hand om detta efter påtalande Byt ut städerskan så blir det 5 av 5. Sammanfattningsvis ett väldigt fint och trevligt hotell som vi rekommenderar.

Tamarind? Besser nicht..

Sorry, aber das war der totale Reinfall. Gebucht wurde ein Superior Zimmer...laut Fotos mit neuen Möbeln...bekommen haben wir ein "Deluxe Zimmer mit uralten Mobiliar, defekter Klimaanlage, defekter Dusche aus der nur Wasser tropfte, verstopftem Waschbecken, Kühlschrank mit Wasserlache davor, flackernde/defekte Innenraumbeleuchtung des Zimmers. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr nett aber dadurch dass das Hotel voll war blieb nur das Telefonat mit der Chefin. Diese erklärte uns, wenn uns das Zimmer nicht passt, können wir ja ausziehen. Klasse..Geld war vorab bezahlt und Hotel laut Buchung nicht stornierbar. Und dann kurz vor Weihnachten was angemessenes kurzfristig finden? Nachdem ich ihr erklärt hatte das ein Vertrag keine einseitige Willenserklärung ist sondern auch sie Pflichten hat, wurden wir am zweiten Tag abends in das Nachbarhotel umquartiert (Zwei Tage verloren). Eine Mail an Hotel.com wurde nicht beantwortet...schade..von uns aus können wir das Tamaind auf keinen fall empfehlen aufgrund des katastrophalen Zustandes.

Large nice room, 10 minutes away from long beach. Beds comfortable and good facilities, could be a little cleaner but bedding, towels are clean. Staff helpful and friendly.

Wonderful weeks stay

My wife and I had a fantastic week here, the pool is beautiful and the beach is a short walk away. They don’t always clean your room but anything you need the front desk is more than happy to get for you. Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant that’s attached to the hotel has great food at a decent price. We would definitely stay here again.

Wieder überaus zufrieden

Wie beim letzten Aufenthalt waren wir wieder sehr zufrieden! Rezeption absolut unvergleichlich gut, mit Vorschlägen für Aktivitäten, ohne dabei etwas verkaufen zu wollen und diese Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit haben wir noch nirgends erlebt. Einzig dem Zimmerservice muss man einfach sagen, was zu tun ist (Bettwäsche wechseln), wird dann aber auch erledigt. Hotel ist bedenkenlos für Kurzaufenthalt oder auch für eine Woche zu empfehlen.

Great location -just a 2 minute walk to the beach! I liked staying here because it was comfortable, not expensive, and very close to the beach. Just FYI -my room was crowded, with not much room around the bed, the refrigerator very close to it, as well as the outdated dresser.

Better hotel choices in the area for the price.

I don’t think this hotel is reasonable value for the price. Reception was ok but the rest of the staff were very indifferent, almost miserable most of the time. Stayed 6 nights and don’t think the bathroom was cleaned once. The bed was too hard, and the shower difficult to control. The pool, which is actually part of a different hotel, is quite nice. Good thing, because it’s quite a hike to the beach.

Amazing staff!

Spent 4 wonderful nights at Tamarind. Staff are so polite and welcoming. Our room was a little small and the design a bit odd however over aspects of our stay made this not feel like a problem. Close to the beach. Has use of a really clean pool. The restaurant on site Is really good, cheap, big menu! You can book tours, hire bikes, they arranged our ferry back and taxi for us. I would definitely return. Amazing Value.

Lovely stay

A nice, small hotel with a decent pool, that got quote busy sometimes. 5 minute walk to the beach which was lovely but had no shade. The basic rooms were very basic but the staff was lovely and we were upgraded to the better rooms which were great. Spacious and comfortable. The restaurant on site was not quite up to the standards of the rest of the place. Would definitely stay again. Only flaw was that there was basically no water pressure in the showers, but I think that's fairly regular on koh Lanta. Lots of places to get food nearby.

Positive experience

We were 4 girls and shared a nice and spacious room with a veranda. The pool is great, can get somewhat crowded with occupied sunbeds as a result, but it is walking distance to the beach. The beach is really nice, big and wide, with both cheaper and more expensive restaurants. Great sunsets! A tuc tuc to the town/pier took about 10 min for 50bht per person. We really enjoyed our stay. There wasn't super-many tourists when we were there and it was nice and cosy around the hotel, pool and by the beach, a relaxing place.

You should probably stay here.

The people working there are so friendly and hard working, I like them a lot. They have a really sweet ginger cat that hangs out near the pool, I can vouch for both the cat and the pool. The room itself was clean with a decent tv, fridge and kettle. Water was replaced with housekeeping, nice touch. The beach is only a few minutes walk down a shaded path. Fantastic value overall, being not much more expensive than a hostel.
