Exceptional family-run hotel with genuine hospitality
Aloha Lanta was one of the highlights of my stay in Koh Lanta. The location is excellent, directly in front of the beach in Saladan and within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, walking street, and the ferry terminal. Even though it is very central, it sits at the end of a quiet dead-end street, which makes it peaceful.
I stayed in two rooms, first a town-facing balcony room and later a sea view room. Both were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds are firm, typical Thai style, but comfortable with great pillows. The sea view was beautiful. The rooms are simple but well maintained and practical.
What truly makes this place special is that it is run by a local Thai family. My flight was delayed and I arrived close to 11 pm, even though reception normally closes at 9 pm. The manager waited for me, welcomed me with a beer, and offered food. Throughout my stay they helped book activities, arranged laundry, ensured daily cleaning, and were always available. When I became ill, they took excellent care of me.
Some furniture shows signs of age, but everything is clean and well cared for. The value for money is excellent. I would absolutely return.
