You’ll be in the vibrant market town of Keswick – known as the UK’s adventure capital for its proximity to outdoor pursuits like rock climbing, paddleboarding, fell walking and wild swimming. The town itself has a pretty river running through it, along with a museum, a gallery, and all the shops and restaurants you’ll need, all within 0.5 miles. The banks of Derwentwater are also just 0.5 miles away, where you can hire a motorboat or tackle the spectacular 10-mile circuit around the lake. Keen walkers and climbers will be spoilt for choice, with Skiddaw (5 miles) and Blencathra (7 miles) providing rewarding challenges.

Your group can share sociable meals around the large dining table. Both rooms enjoy high-beamed ceilings and lovely views, and are served by a contemporary shower room with a WC. Throughout the property, quality furnishings, solid oak furniture and luxurious linens add to the sense of comfort.
