Our stay at the farmhouse was everything we wanted and needed! A beautiful home and perfect location - close to everything but tucked quietly away from the busyness. Mark was a great host and easy to get ahold of.

I'll start by saying that the hosts were very kind and understanding. They were one of the bright points of our stay. The actual house is really cool and I loved the actual house. For these two reasons this is why I'm able to rate it more than just a single star. The cleanliness and clutter was ultimately why the downfall of our stay. It looked like nothing had been cleaned before we got there and there were so many fruit flies in the kitchen that I didn't feel comfortable cooking in the kitchen. Ultimately we decided to cut our stay short and only stay 2 out of the 5 nights that we had initially booked due to the cleanliness. The hosts were very understanding and refunded us 3 nights, which we are very greatful for. We have given the hosts our feedback and details of what we found needed cleaning, which was well recieved and we are hopeful that they are able to take the constructive criticism and improve the cleanliness for the next guests.

Bloß nicht!!!

Das Ferienhaus entsprach überhaupt nicht den Angaben und deckte sich auch nicht mit den Fotos. Es war dreckig, völlig heruntergekommen und schlichtweg nicht akzeptabel. Als Verdunkelungen dienten beispielsweise alte Pappkartons, die Bettdecken waren teilweise schmutzig, die Betten durchgelegen, der Toaster schmorte direkt bei Erstbenutzung durch etc. Zudem gab es zwischen Küche und Untergeschoss, in dem die Vermieter wohnten, keine Tür, d.h. man hatte keinen wirklich abgeschlossenen Bereich. Auf der Küchenanrichte stand ein Festnetzanschluss, der auch klingelte - wahrscheinlich benutzen die Vermieter die FeWo selbst, wenn keine Gäste da sind. Die angebliche Farm wurde von anderen Menschen bewirtschaftet, es lagen Plastikeimer und anderer Müll auf dem Außengelände und vieles mehr. Auf jeden Fall die Finger von dem Objekt lassen, wir sind nach einem Tag vorzeitig abgereist!

Great stay

Stayed with 8 adults and 2 kids. Overall a great stay. A little hot at nights but that is expected during the peak summer in Kelowna and without AC. Lovely property and close to everything.

Beautiful home and fabulous location. Perfect for a family reunion. The first few days were very hot, but Mark showed how to keep the house cool. It dropped into the 60’sF at night. All was very comfortable. The front porch was the place to play games and enjoy the view. The back porch was the place to take a late afternoon nap in the hammock surrounded by grape vines. During the day we biked, hiked, kayaked and played on the beach, and don’t forget wine tasting! This was a perfect vacation.

The house was well kept. The only downside was the BBQ was not what I was used to. For the cost I would think the BBQ would be included and in A-1 condition!

Loved the house itself! Definitely not luxurious by today’s standards but all its quirkiness, thewonderful verandas, and the house history made up for it!Lack of air conditioning was an issue but opening windows in the evening cooled it down for sleeping. The location was perfect- just a few minutes off the main streets but felt far away from the city. We were a little surprised by the lack of landscaping and the clutter in the yard. Check in and communication was great. It definitely loses marks for cleanliness. The house, and most noticeably the bathrooms, were definitely not clean enough for my liking.

Nice accommodations and location.

We rented this place for our kids and grandkids who were in Kelowna for my Dad’s memorial service. They all had to head home on Sunday so only used the house for two of the three nights. That would be my only complaint. There was no option to rent just the two nights because of the long weekend. Kids liked the place and said the house had plenty of room and character for a large group. Thanks for letting us stay at your place. We would recommend it. :)

Family get together

Wonderful Farm House

Old house with character….very well equipped. Large dining room table that can accommodate a large group…we had 11 for Thanksgiving dinner. Good location…..10 to 15 minutes to all the locations we needed to visit.

Unconventional and very interesting place.

We had a great time. Everything went smoothly. All of us (6 adults and one 3-year old) enjoyed the accomodation and hospitality. Thank you Mark and family for keeping the old house alive and in good shape, this is a lot of hard work.

Beautiful peaceful house

Heritage house and very spacious. Amber and Mark were very nice and helpful. We were 8 of our family. The house is big and confortable. A bit too warm in the summer heat with no A/C but definitely convenient!
