"This place is awesome, not my first stay, only reason i gave 1 star for cleanliness was totally not due to the host!!! Severe storms had came through shortly before our arrival, leaving the road to property inaccessible, and no power at the home. Therefore the cleaning crew could not get to addressing the issues from prior guests in a timely manner. BUT....the host got them there asap, and the cleaning crew was awesome, sympathetic, and did a wonderful job!! Like i said, not my first time...

"First of all, everything in the ad was accurate. We met the hosts and they were cordial and helpful. The house was very clean and organized. My wife loved swinging on the front porch. We are already planning a return trip."

"A beautiful place for a relaxing getaway. The home is immaculate and has every thing you need. The little beach area was a great place to sit and unwind. Overall, we truly enjoyed our short stay! Would have given 5 stars except that the boat lift was still out of the water, sitting on the grass right in the middle of the lake view. We had picked this place mostly for the lake view, so that was a bit of a downer. We contacted Tammy & she replied right away, explaining that the marina had been...

"We stayed for a week during spring time, dogwoods bloomed and so was rhododendron and azelias, iy was a piece of heaven. It was nice and comfortable for the two of us. Old time charm and updated fitures that are a necessity. Neighborhood is super quite, which was important after a day of work. Allison was very helpful, always promptly answered any questionsthat we had. Snack bar items and everything that you might need for tea or coffee was also a nice bonus. "

"The guys I work with booked this house to get out of the normal hotel stay. The house has two bedrooms and a pullout couch April to accommodate all of our people. The bathroom is a jack and Jill and very convenient for getting up in the middle of the night. The train was loud at night, but I grew up in Indiana home of the train tracks. I’m used to it. The refrigerator door does open loudly so if you’re trying to be quiet at night, it’s a dead giveaway when someone’s in the fridge that everything...

"Michael was an excellent host. Property was clean and equipped as promised. Complete with Keurig and K-cups! Very quiet community, close to the places that we needed to go. High Bridge Trail is nearby, Three Rivers Brewery in Farmville. Nice selection of local houses of worship in the area. Would definitely recommend"

"This is a great location for family to get together in a lovely home where everyone can have privacy as well as be together. Great neighborhood, very quiet. We would stay again for sure! "

"Hotels are few and far between in the midlothian area, and leave much to be desired. This condo is the perfect answer...basic, but clean, convenient, and close to where we needed to be. Would definitely recommend and stay here again."

"There was a mix-up with our reservation, but it was immediately taken care of at our arrival. The hosts were amazing, and we had a wonderful weekend! I will definitely rent from them again the next time we are in Farmville."

"My friend got married at a family farm near Powhatan, and we couldn’t find a hotel that wasn’t 45 mins away. Then my girlfriend found this home and it literally made our little mini vacation. The owner is nice, and the horses are super friendly. Didn’t get to take advantage of the horseback riding, but if given just one more day, we for sure would have!"
