Welcome to the "kolkje" nature holiday farm!

A holiday with us means: Experience nature with all your senses - far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but right in the middle of one of the most diverse natural and cultural regions in the Netherlands!
Rest and relaxation on your own dock ... Hiking, biking, fishing, paddling, swimming, surfing or simply drifting by boat ... day tours to the pearls of the Frisian Eleven Cities Route and the Wadden Islands ... enjoying a coffee or enjoying the beach in the nearby Makkum .. .

Our "Fischerhaus", a completely renovated former horse stable in 2015, guarantees relaxing holidays in a high-quality, modern atmosphere: on the ground floor there is the large, light-flooded kitchen with modern kitchen (induction cooker, oven, refrigerator), a large dining table for 6-8 people and a sitting area with TV and water view. The spacious bathroom with double sink, toilet and large shower, an extra toilet next door and a bedroom with a double bed are also on the ground floor. The open stair-bridge construction leads to the upper floor, where there are two comfortably furnished bedrooms under the sloping roof (one with a double bed and one with two single beds).

The large glass door in the living area leads to the terrace directly by the water, where you can enjoy the sunset on the large wooden bench, have a barbecue or cast your rod from the jetty ...

In the farmhouse there is also a freely accessible kitchen where our guests can use the washing machine, dryer and vacuum cleaner. We also have a small guest farm shop with products from our own production as well as regional and ecological origin.

Animal lovers can look forward to our sheep and lambs, chickens and wild ducks, swallows and huge flocks of wild geese that fly across the farm in spring and autumn.

The use of a fishing boat with an outboard motor and two kayaks is included in the price. For canoe tours with several people, we recommend canoe rentals in the village and bike tours in Makkum.

As an alternative, we recommend our holiday home for 4-5 people, FEWO Obj. No. 259 8924.

  • We traveled across Afsluitdijk while touring in the Netherlands. It was truly impressive to see how the small nation has kept the sea at bay (no pun intended). At this stop near the middle of the structure, there is some history that explains how each stone was installed by hand, along with a great many other impressive metrics. Worth the trip.

Het was geweldig! Super mooie plek, hele fijne hosts. Groter dan wat op de foto’s leek en van alles voorzien om er een heel fijne vakantie te hebben. Zoals hosts zelf ook al schrijven is het wel een plek voor kinderen met zwemdiploma, aangezien je omringd bent door water.

Es war ganz hervorragend. Die Lage des Hauses ist exorbitant! Wer Natur sucht, wird hier nicht enttäuscht. Die Vermieter Iris und Douwe sind sehr, sehr nett. In ihrem kleinen Hofladen gibt es köstliche, selbstgemachte Marmeladen, frische Eier von Bio Hühnern, und TK Fleisch zum Grillen von befreundeten Biobauern. Wir können dieses Haus nur empfehlen. Super schönes Bauernhaus, top renoviert und ausgestattet inmitten herrlicher Natur direkt am Wasser. Motorboot, Kanu und SUP stehen zur freuen Verfügung. Ein tolles Erlebnis für Jung und Alt.

Excellent wheelchair accessible property

The entry door was ramped and my powered chair able to go through. There was also a patio door that could be used for wider chairs. The level access shower had a chair for sitting. The bathroom is excellent for a turning circle. there are no grab rails but bathroom furniture aids all transfers. The bedroom is large enough go get in with wheelchair but the bed configuration currently requires weight baring if it was possible to move the bed this would be overcome. The kitchen living area is great and well accessible. Not suitable for someone needing hoists but otherwise if you can weight bare it is an excellent property to use. The gardens are fully accessible and a beautiful place to pass time as is looking at the water and a range of wildlife. The majority of areas have been paved. The motor boat was easy to get into but the ability to use it would depend on weight baring. It is certainly suitable for a fold up wheelchair to go in. The owners provide an excellent range of edibles to get you by. The local town presented no major difficulties, i was able to access where i wanted. One of our major delights was being visited by the chicken, which is a reminder that this is a farm, in the middle of fields next to a canal expect creatures! The owners are very helpful and friendly and I highly recommend this property

Es war wunderschön

Die umgebung ist sehr schön und ruhig.Ausserdem ist alles sehr sauber und die Zimmer sind gross und gemütlich.Die Vermieter sind sehr nett.Viele Hühner und Enten laufen frei herum und watscheln in das Wohnzimmer.

Traumhaft: Fischerhaus an der Gracht!

Es war hervorragend! Das Haus bestens, top hergerichtet, wie ein Neubau. Schöne Zimmer mit geschmackvoller Einrichtung. Alles da. Heizung hat auch sehr gut funktioniert, da wir ein paar kalte Tage hatten. Makkum, der alte Hafenort ist gut und schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Oder mit dem Boot! Nach einer kurzen Erklärung konnten wir das Bootchen mit Aussenborder (kostenlos) benutzen, das macht viel Spaß. In Makkum gibt es einige Lokale, für jeden etwas dabei. Am Hafen in der Fischbude - frischer Fisch, gleich zubereitet, bestens. Die Vermieter super nett, ohne aufdringlich zu sein, so wie man es gerne hat. Bei den Vermietern, beide auch Künster, kann Mann Eier, selbstgechte Marmelade und Pflanzen kaufen. Also insgesamt Bestnote, sehr erholsam!

Traumhafter Blick

Wir haben uns für dieses nette Häuschen entschieden, weil wir unseren Urlaub in der Natur verbringen wollten. Die Bilder haben gehalten, was sie versprachen. Obwohl das Wetter nicht so mitgespielt hat (viel Wind und ein paar Regentage), haben wir uns doch sehr gut erholt. Vor allem der Blick aus dem Wohnzimmer oder von der Bank hinterm Haus direkt auf das Wasser waren viel Wert, sogar ein Eisvogel hat sich blicken lassen. Die Lage ist ruhig, dennoch ist Makkum gut per Fahrrad/zu Fuß erreichbar. Neben ein paar Ausflügen in die Umgebung (auch viel mit dem Fahrrad, z.B. Richtung Süden zu den friesischen Meeren) haben wir vor allem die Seele baumeln lassen beim SUP bzw. Kajak fahren oder Angeln. Die Gastgeber sind zurückhaltend, freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den einen oder anderen Tipp auf Lager. Danke und liebe Grüße an Iris und Douwe

Nah am Wasser gebaut

Ein Traum... Das Haus ist wirklich klasse. Unten ein großer Wohn-/Essbereich, ein Schlafzimmer und das Bad, oben sind noch zwei weitere Schlafzimmer. Die offene Bauweise ist wirklich toll. Es ist alles da, was gebraucht wird, sogar die WLAN-Internet-Verbindung ist Teenager-tauglich :-) Der Hammer ist aber die Lage. Am Ortsrand von Makkum ist traumhafter Ruhe direkt am Kanal. Douwe und Iris stellen ein Motorboot zur Verfügung. Außerdem liegen noch zwei Paddelboote zur jederzeitigen Benutzung bereit. Hin und wieder schippert mal jemand auf dem Wasser vorbei, ansonsten hat man das Wasser für sich. Der Ort ist bequem zu Fuß oder auf dem Wasser erreichbar.

Wir hatten eine schöne ruhige Woche. Es ist ein schönes , sehr kinderfreundliche Gelände. Unser Sohn war total happy über die Tiere, vor allem der Hund war sehr süß und zutraulich . Leider war das Wetter nicht so toll, aber dafür kann niemand was. Es waren alle sehr freundlich . Vielen Dank

Iris und Douwe waren tolle Gastgeber. Wir waren mit Freunden ein verlängertes Wochenende dort und durften bei der Versorgung der Enten, Hühner und Schafe helfen, konnten Bootsausflüge direkt vom hauseigenen Steg unternehmen und ganz viel Natur genießen. Einfach herrlich.

Beautiful spot on Mother Earth!!

We stayed for almost a week, 4 adults and a kiddo. Lots of space in this beautiful house for all us. We loved being able to use the little boat and boat around Makkum. The fish shack in the harbor is amazing. And Dauwe and Iris are really nice. This is a great place to just relax and enjoy Friesland. Side note: the house is brand new, nice and clean with a great bathroom.

The perfect place to connect with nature

Staying with Iris and Douwe was truly one of the highlights of our vacation stay in the Netherlands. The home and property were truly the perfect slice of nature, yet with many modern facilities in the home. The home was spacious and clean. It had everything as described. More then enough room for 3 adults. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning overlooking the canal , while feeding the passing water fowl. The hosts were very friendly and offered information about the area. Communication before and during our stay was very quick. Be sure to enjoy the canal it is beside and the lil farm store they have. The fresh eggs each morning were a huge hit for us. We found it to be very comfortable, and relaxing and highly recommend. I look forward to returning again one day soon.

Great for fishermen and those looking to relax!

Charming light and bright little house on a farm property right on a canal. Hosts were wonderful people. House was spacious for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids. Kitchen well-appointed with everything you need to cook. House decorated tastefully. Totally serene. Don't miss the farm store for delicious lamb, fresh eggs and milk. The fisherman of the family loved using the motorboat on the canals and want to return to catch the one that got away!
