"We loved our time at this quaint little guesthouse. There's approximately the size of a hotel room with much more charm and convenience. The kitchenette area is perfect for preparing snacks. The view from the window is absolutely amazing especially first thing in the morning. Everything was clean. Sitting by the fire pit at night was absolutely wonderful as well. It's nice to know that there's a grill there for next time we stay. We will definitely be back! (Also the restaurant Sweetwater...

"We were in town for a wedding weekend. We had a total of 6 adults that stayed here. The wedding was at Countryside Banquet and Catering in Washington, IL. So the drive was simple and under 15 minutes from the Cottage on Columbus . We also enjoyed walking to the restaurants, ice cream at The Daily Scoop and Pour Brothers Craft Taproom as well as the local outstanding bakery, Trefzger’s. Known for scrumptious items but my fav are the thumb print cookies. This is a nice and safe neighborhood...

"Nice neighborhood and parking spaces were big enough for a truck. Property was well maintained and it had a big front porch if you like sitting drinking coffee in the morning. Was disappointed on the house being dirty when we arrived. Floors were dirty and felt sticky.Took my shoes off before entering and socks were covered in dirt just from walking around. Definitely able to hear the people in the upstairs unit when speaking or walking."

"The property was advertised as an oasis. While the beds were comfortable and overall the property was clean, on the Friday evening we arrived, the front and back yard were unmowed, and the lights in the dining room, kitchen and oven hood did not work. Several lamps throughout the property were missing light bulbs. A towel holder in the half bath was not secure to the wall. There were extra pillows but no extra pillow cases, there was a pile of laundry in the laundry room, the bottom fridge...
