Parc Estatal Holts Landing

Would give 5 stars, but unknowingly the shower stall was small. It was about 2x2 foot square. I can deal with small bathrooms, but the shower stall was unexpected and misleading in the photos. Everything was really clean, great access to the boardwalk and beach!

Upon arrival, there was no parking available, not even in the 20 minute spots for check in and there were so many pick up trucks in the parking lot that it made driving in very tight and uncomfortable. Made us very leery of how an emergency vehicle would be able to access the hotel. We had to park several blocks away in the hotels "other lot", walk back to the hotel, check in, get a parking pass, get a luggage cart, walk back several blocks to our vehicle and then back to the hotel. On one of our trips out to town, we noticed one parking spot become available that had a broken pack n play in the spot. I moved the pack n play, stood in the spot while my husband went to get our vehicle, and when he got back, our vehicle didn't even fit in the spot because of others parked around us. When we left two days later, that broken pack and play was still where I moved it to in the parking lot. Several vehicles in the parking lot at the hotel did not even have parking passes displayed and we witnessed on several occasions, families parked there, unloaded their beach supplies and headed to the beach and not into the hotel. Obviously, the parking area is not monitored for safely parked vehicles, trash, or hotel guests. Other than parking, our stay was fine, but we would not stay here again.
