"On arrival, I was given a sheet of paper to fill in, but it was so badly printed that I could not read it! The room was spacious, with a walk in shower, kettle and tea and coffee. However, the wifi did not work for me, and the TV kept cutting out, but the bed was comfortable. In the morning, there was no water from the taps, so I could not use the lovely looking shower; I had to wash with water from the kettle, from the previous evening. I feel that the staff should have been warning guests...

"Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful.
However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

"Nice beds, friendly staff, and decent breakfast. However, the visit was spoiled by the malfunctioning air conditioning in the middle of summer. There was instead a plastic fan avaialble which perhaps proves that the staff were aware of of issue. They did offer to see if they could place us in another room but that would mean re-packing again in the middle of the night, so we just had to put up with it. Really uncomfortable night with a 3 year old!"

"On arrival had a warm welcome from the staff who asked if we wanted drinks we said yes and that we had booked 2 rooms. We were given our drinks and they would bring the room keys to us in a few minutes. Young lady came over and asked if we would like to see the rooms, which I went with the young lady and shown the rooms. I rejoined my friends and told them the rooms were amazing and very clean. We all went to our rooms freshened up, met in bar and all said how well the Cherry Tree Inn is from...

"Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts.
I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect!
