Tarilta Cottage at Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve

  • Tarilta is a one-bedroom cottage with lovely views over the surrounding forest. Situated in the most desirable part of Hepburn Springs and at end of a long private driveway through the lightly forested sloping 1-acre site (with two other small cottages at the front end of the site) that adjoins and has direct access to the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve, the cottage provides a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The kitchenette contains all the essentials if you want to prepare your own meals, but the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs area has a well-deserved reputation for outstanding cafes and restaurants.

    The cottage has a split-system air conditioning unit and a woodburning heater with complimentary firewood supplied for your first evening in the cottage. There is free WiFi with the Netflix and Stan streaming services included on the large smart TV.

    The Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa complex in the neighbouring Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve is a short walk down the road and offers a range of hot mineral water bathing and pampering spa treatments. There are also very many day spas within walking distance in Hepburn Springs village or a short drive to the neighbouring town of Daylesford.

Fabulous Hepburn stay

Excellent location, perfect little cottage with all you need, in a beautiful forrest environment which you got views of out of every windows. Host very helpful & would definitely stay there again

Tranquility

Perfectly private location. We made use of the wood fire which made the cottage lovely and warm.Opened the blinds in the morning to see wallabies around, birds chirping and the sun streaming through the windows.

Wonderful Stay

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tarilta Cottage and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience. This quiet cosy property surrounded by all the beautiful trees was spotless and well-maintained, exceeding my expectations and I had all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. A perfectly homely stay amongst the trees

With the cottage set back from the road and into the bushland, you cannot go past the tranquility of this property. The sounds of nature, the freshness of the environment surrounding the property - and to top it off, a wood heater for when it got a bit chilly at night. Highly recommend this property for a couple or solo trip.

From the beginning Andrew and Anthony were very lovely and responsive to deal with. The updated us every step of the way. The property is located down a short track from the main road. The cottage is located in a wooded area, with plenty of natural fauna like rosellas and cockatoos. It is quiet in this area during the time we visited. The property interior has all that is needed for a relaxing time.

Quiet & private with just the sounds of wildlife and a crackling of a fire.

Beautiful and quaint cottage, with a spacious clean spa, we would definitely stay here again. Parrots, passing kangaroos and a large cute Echidna with walking track leading to the springs. Just beautiful!!!!!

What a lovely little cottage. If you want tranquility amongst the treetops, this is the place. Set back from the road, there is no passing traffic. The verandah is the perfect place for coffee or wine while watching the kangaroos hopping along their bush highway below the cottage, or the antics of wrens, rosellas and cockatoos.

This was the perfect place to stay in Daylesford - prime location to get to the springs! The house was spacious enough for me and a friend and had everything you could need to enjoy your stay! We’ve recommended it to all our friends and family, and I’m already planning my next trip to stay here!
