"A lake vacation is new to our family. It’s typically the ocean, however, we have been forever won over by Lake Gaston! We all prefer the quiet serenity of the lake versus pounding waves….. “ no salt, no sharks, no worries”…. We have already rebooked this home for next year. There were 13 of us and the house was more than accommodating and beautiful! We were all together when we wanted to be , but also found personal space if needed. We loved Carried Away and would highly recommend it!!! "

"This house was exactly what our family needed! We were in town for a wedding nearby, and it was great that we could all stay together comfortably. We had a beautiful view every morning, went fishing and kayaking, and our teenagers were thrilled to have so many additional things to do (ping-pong, darts, chess, and video games). The house was clean, instructions were clear, and it had all of the kitchen items we needed, as well. I recommend it for a peaceful family getaway!"

"We stayed for a long weekend, and the home was perfect for us. The interior is very nice and lots of beds and living space. Wiuld stay again, for sure. That said, the dock area water is very low and not the clenest. I can't see any way you would want to get yourself ir a dog into the water! But that was the only downside."

"Despite Hurricane Debbie trying to put a damper on our stay, our group still managed to have a great time at our annual Lake Gaston trip. The house in itself was in a great location and had easy access to the stores nearby. Other than a few less than comfortable beds and lack of storage/pantry for a week long stay, the house had all the amenities and room to accommodate our large group.
