"This is a great place to get away from it all. It was really nice to have a place on the water and sit around a campfire in the evening. The house/cottage is very clean, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. There aren't any stores or restaurants nearby, so stop at a grocery store in Ellsworth. There might be some firewood left by others, but it would be best to purchase some camp wood on the way. It is sold by seemingly everybody. Bar Harbor is an hour away by car. "

"Our family was visiting the area for a few days and were so pleased with our pick. It is the cleanest property we have ever stayed at. Not a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. Communication was great but the best is the deck overlooking the water and the amazing sunsets. Thank you!"

"The house sits next to a stream. The house is nice and clean and plenty of room for our party of 5."

"The location is great, very secluded and private. Amazing views right out the bedroom window. Has that remote cabinet feel on the inside. It's about an hour away from Bar Harbor which was perfect for us to make a day trip down there.Also local oysters and lobster are abundant. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the shower, it was either way too hot or way too cold, should be a simple fix to switch the controls."

"The house was cozy, super clean and the view was astounding! Kitchen had new appliances and was fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans etc. Loved starting the day with a cup of coffee enjoying the view of the pond. Highly recommend. "

It would have been helpful to know that it’s recommended to bring our own water. We both have back issues and found the bed uncomfortable. Close to Bar Harbor and many other awesome attractions. "

"Loved the cabin and the location was breathtaking. The owner provides paddle boards, kayak and all the essentials you need. 10/10 will definitely be booking again. It rained the whole stay and it was still the most peacful and relaxing place I have stayed at in a long time! Cant wait to try it again soon in some dry weather. "

"Albeit our stay was too short, the view and closeness to the ocean alone were worth it. I highly suggest opening the hopper windows so you can hear the waves crashing from inside the place. We arrived on a Friday and left on a Sunday. Although it rained on Saturday, the experience made the place even cozier. It gave us full license to just relax and be. Naturally you can get provisions, we did buy some fruit, wine, cheese and crackers as well as ingredients to make a big breakfast at Winter...

"Secluded spot on lovely lake.Weather was not in our side but we managed to enjoy some fishing in the backyard.The home had everything we needed."

"We came here for stargazing because this area has a fairly dark sky on the dark sky maps, and it was cloudy and rainy the whole time — BUT!!! This home was wonderful, warm, cozy and comfortable. A terrific place to come back to after a rainy day hike. We watched movies, played games, completed jigsaw puzzles, all courtesy of the thoughtfulness of the home owner. A wonderful, charming home. Thank you for the many nice touches! "

"We were very impressed and happy with our accommodations. The home was just as it appears in the pictures, clean and cozy. The location was beautiful. We sat each morning at the waters edge watching the sun warm the day and enjoyed a fire in the evening watching the moon and stars dance upon the bay. Would not hesitate to spend time here again!
