"Absolutely gorgeous setting with a view of the glacier. Villa was comfortable (except for the lack of bedside lamps) with a nice kitchen and good beds. Loved that they had free DVDs available (which we took advantage of thanks to a very rainy afternoon and evening) and laundry facilities. The town of Franz Joseph Glacier was cute but food options weren't great - I'd suggest cooking in. Glad we had 2 nights here! "

"Excellent pace to stay in Frank Joseph. Modern and clean, great amenities. A home away from home. Great long veranda to take in the awesome view of the mountains. Stargazing was spectacular."

"Super clean and comfortable. Convenient to town but quiet neighborhood. Beautiful view out the back windows. Our timing coincided with cold rain but it would be lovely to open up the whole back of the house in nice weather. "

"This was one of our very favorite places to stay as we travel around the south island. Our hosts were so kind and informative and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was so comfortable with a great bed and everything you could possibly need. We truly enjoyed this place and the area so much! "

"Amazing spot, sleeping to the sound of the waves. We had an outdoor tub and once it stopped raining, we took advantage of it and soaked in it. The only “bad” thing was the carpet in the bathroom; it has a moldy smell, probably because it gets wet and doesn’t quite air out. Other than that, wonderful stay! Also, Sue was very helpful with our late check in and communication. "

"Absolutely loved our stay in the remote part of the west coast. We were happy to stay compose to home as it’s such a beautiful spot surrounded by great lawns for cricket and frisbee and amazing rocks to find along the river that runs along the back of the properly. House was warm and offered all the comforts of home. The fire bath under the stars was pretty special. We’d love to come back! "
