"The room was fairly clean but old. Shower had rust in it. The towels and toliet paper were each rough. The boxspring was older and squeaky when you moved on it. Otherwise it is a decent hotel in the downtown area."

"Nice hotel, there’s only maid service every three days. It was a nuisance to have garbage. I had to call to get more towels.
But it was marathon weekend and everyone was friendly.
A few things in the room were annoying. But overall, a nice place to stay.
I also wished they had a sundries store"

"I was charged some last-minute fees that were seemingly un disclosed for an urban fee that had nothing to do with the additional tax charged by the city of Chicago for being a visitor. I thought this was absurd, and it was not included in the price of my online booking, and I should not have been responsible for it. The manager I was told would not be in until Wednesday and nobody on staff at the hotel had any authority to discuss this with me. Bad service, the manager never followed up with me...

"Buyer Beware! This property charges a nightly security deposit for 'incidentals" ($75 per night) Strange that neither Expedia, NOR Hampton Inn felt that needed to be disclosed upfront. rightly so, I guess. For had I known this I would most certainly have selected a different property. The hotel itself is ok, it's dated. The Wi-Fi sucks, and only one elevator is for customers. One is for housekeeping. The third I didn't see operate at all. Then we get to my real point of contention. The charges...

"Overall the hotel is very dated. Upon checkin, the hotels system was down and unable to check in any guests which caused us to have to wait 45 minutes to get into our room.
The hotel room was unclean from dirty carpet with what appeared to be blood stains to hair in our bathroom sink and on the floor. It just felt like it wasn’t well maintained or cleaned throughly. For the nightly cost to stay at this hotel, i would like to see a better maintained and clean hotel"
