"The room is gorgeous with spacious living room. We enjoyed everything, from onsen, kitchen island and the dining area. This is a perfect hotel for relax and enjoying. The only drawback is that there's not much nearby. Also a little unsafe walking from the station, as the hotel is located along the curve road with cars and trucks approaching fast. We ended of calling cab every time since returned in the evening. "

"Beautiful hotel, but it was a bit of a walk from the bus station if you’re going into Hakone. Be sure to call the hotel to have a shuttle pick you up from the nearest shuttle stop, which is down the hill from the property. Stuff that was super nice although they didn’t know too much about the tourist bus lines-recommend getting a hug Kone 1 to 3 day pass if you’re staying longer. "Its a little bit of a hike going to the inn so be aware not to bring big luggages. I did read the previous review and had only my overnight bag and that helps a lot. The inn itself is pretty clean, the staff were accomodating and I was able to book the private onsen. Its a nice place to relax after a long day of walking around hakone"

"Very attentive service and gourmet meals. A quiet hotel with a spacious room that hosted my wife, myself, and our 2 young adult children with sufficient privacy. The private onsen was spectacular, as was the little protected outdoor deck."

"Der Ryokan ist eine gute Wahl, wenn man Hakone erkunden möchte. Die Unterkunft sieht von Außen zwar nicht nach einem klassischen Ryokan aus bietet aber ansonsten den gleichen besonderen Service. Das Frühstück und Abendessen besteht aus mehreren Gängen die wirklich sehr sättigend und vielfältig sind. Während unserers Aufenthalts gab es immer andere Gerichte. "It was set in a beautiful, lush area with bus access to many outings in Hakone. The hotel is an older one, with some renovations underway, but our room was big with a private bath fed by the hot springs, a definite highlight. Every dinner and breakfast was unique and flavorful. All of the staff was engaging and respectful. "
