"Block I was in had safe gated parking for £15 a night. My room was up several floors of stairs, so very glad I only had light luggage. But the room was stylish, comfortable and clean. Great breakfast in the resturant in another block over the road. Would stay again if in Southsea."

"Great location (bus depot across the street, dockyard and Gunwharf easy walking distance). Private parking (though its a game of Jenga to get in and out of it). Better than average bathroom (for English hotels). Dining room nice. A/C was "under maintenance" on the hottest day of the year else would give 4 stars. Some attempts have been made to make it wheelchair accessible but not really."

"Stayed here for 2 nights on the hottest weekend of the year in room 320. Air conditioning wasn't working we were sweltering in the small room with twin beds that were of differing heights. I spoke to reception about the air con and how hot it was in the room, they gave us desktop fans and told us there wasn't really anything else they could do as there were quite a few rooms with the same issue!! Had we known this we would have booked a different hotel. The member of staff told us they would...

"A very good breakfast and bar area. Beds are comfortable. Great location. What’s not to like?"

"This is easily the best hotel in Portsmouth- best location, easy included parking out front on. there own grounds. Large, traditional old hotel, but well kept. 24 hour bar for residents. Upmarket restaurant. One major drawback - no aircon in the bedrooms or the hallways stairs etc.: a big problem if you are there during a heat wave -36! - as I was. I would still book again though, but only in cooler weather."

"Property is in a very good position over looking the Solent and walkable to Southsea or Portsmouth. Had everything we needed and particularly enjoyed the roof garden"

"No ventilation, the apartment has no WINDOWS, accept for 2 roof lights which were too high to reach. The property was booked for 3 people, I rang and confirmed but regardless there was no linen or pillows for the 3rd person."
