Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to it.This rental was by far one of my all time favorites from VRBO!!We booked both this property (Yellow Door Lodge) and its sister property next door (Red Door Lodge) for my son's wedding. "We stayed at his property for three nights. The host went above and beyond to familiarize us with the area and even taught us how to crab and fish. The house is home from home (has everything you need for a relaxing vacation). Our kids (9-14) enjoyed kayaking in the creek, crabbing at the dock and fishing in the stream. I would definitely return to this property for our next stay. "

"We loved the old house and the old time feel. It had a lot of character and a lot of antiques but also friendly for kids of all ages. They just said put it up high if little hands would touch it. We would love to come to this same house for another vacation. We were all sad to leave!"

"To say that this couple went beyond expectations to make sure that we were safe and comfortable- there are no words. Their home was beautiful, updated, and the coolest place we’ve ever stayed, according to my grandchildren(which is amazing since we had just spent a week in a cabin in the Smokey mountains). If you have the chance book it, it’s an hours drive to many places. Thank you for your service, your hospitality was amazing!"

"Very pet friendly, with a fenced in back yard, and a quiet, friendly neighborhood close to anything you could need. Our hosts were amazingly responsive and helpful when anything came up during our extended stay. The fridge went out at one point, and they immediately offered a temporary fridge while they lined up a replacement. It certainly made our move to the area that much easier for us, especially with a well stocked kitchen, we were able to cook meals and feel like we were home. Would...
