"Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. "Our room was roomy and clean. There was a queen sized bed by the window, the bathroom was in the middle, and the bunk beds were by the door. The airflow in the section by the bunk beds was a bit lacking. So when we turned the temperature down to 22 C, the area by the queen sized bed was cool, but the area near the bunk beds remained stuffy. The location is a bit out of the way. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Amsterdam Centraal by foot and tram."

"It is a great location if you are embarking or disembarking on a cruise. However, it is a bit of a walk into the city (approximately 10-15 minutes). The reception area was very helpful in storing our luggage until the room was ready. The concierge was very helpful as well. When checking in, the receptionist said breakfast was included with our package and the restaurant opened at 7:00 AM. I told her we had to leave at 5:30 AM to catch our flight and she offered to have a box breakfast ready...

"Love this place. Although it is a 25 minute walk into the centre, it is right on the river/sea front and in a lovely community. Great room that was a mini apartment, and has a gym- you can also swim in the river/sea right outside (as some locals were doing!) Good pricing and v friendly.
