"Great location, clean, well stocked kitchen. Iron and ironing board available. They do provide small toiletries. 1 TV in the lower level (basement) but wasnt a huge deal for us since we were busy helping with a wedding. Could use more towels and linens. We bought our own ice since there were no rrays and ice maker in fridge was not working. Comfortable and convenient to walking and exploring downtown Frederickburg. "

"We loved our stay and plan on returning in the future for a longer stay so we can experience more. It was about the same cost as a hotel stay, but with more of a home feel and a lot more room. I also enjoyed the view of the lake from our front porch. If I could suggeat one little change, maybe open the gym a little earlier than 9am, but that's all."

"The property was as advertised and clean. Had an issue with air conditioning. Need to supply soap and shampoo. Overall good place."

"A jaunt to meet our newest member of our family. We were able to spend a few hours with him and with all of the family as well. Great location near DC and all the historical sites. "

"If you have balance issues this is not for you! Floor is unlevel and unstable! It was beautiful weather and we couldn’t open one of the two windows in the bed room to get a cross breeze because of a missing screen. "

"We had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was absolutely beautiful and Linny was so welcoming. We can’t wait to come back! "

"Specious home to enjoy time with family. 25 min form Fredericksburg VA and 1.25 hours from DC. Check out the marines museum which is free and 20 minutes away. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the home. Everything was just as pictured. Anything you could want or need had been provided. The home was located close enough to town and other attractions to make getting there easy, but far enough away from main roads to feel secluded and peaceful. Check in and out were effortless on our part. We had a few animal visitors that came through the fenced in yard, including a fox! One caveat that I would add, the yard was a bit high while we were there (lots of rain)...

"A Hidden Gem! Vicki and Doug were exceptional hosts, thinking of everything you could possibly want or need for an amazing stay. We highly recommend this property!We live in the heart of DC and were looking for a staycation that was close to home, on the water and full of nature.
