Atmospheric apartment in the heart of Giethoorn, including daily fresh breakfast

Welcome to this charming apartment right in the centre of Giethoorn, where you can enjoy a delicious fresh breakfast every morning in the cosy Tonckenskamer. The accommodation also offers a Canadian canoe for three people, allowing you to explore Giethoorn’s picturesque canals at your own pace. Perfect for holidays with family or friends!

Thanks to its central location, you’ll find a supermarket, various inviting cafés and restaurants, museums, and boat and bike rental services within walking distance. The idyllic Dorpsgracht runs directly in front of the accommodation. From here, you can easily paddle to Lake Bovenwiede, located just 500 metres away. A beautiful walk or bike ride to the charming village of Dwarsgracht is also highly recommended, as is a day trip to Meppel. In Meppel, you’ll find attractions like a subtropical swimming pool. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at a golf course just 13 kilometres from the accommodation.

The apartment has its own private entrance and hallway and is located on the first floor. Prepare your favourite dishes in the fully equipped kitchen and unwind with a good book in the atmospheric living room. There is a separate toilet and a shower with two sinks, Separate sleeping arrangements are possible. Both bedrooms are also available for double bookings, so you can sleep separately. The accommodation offers several terraces and an electric barbecue. Please note that bringing your own barbecue is not allowed due to fire safety regulations.

A perfect spot

Thank you so much for your beautiful suite and being such wonderful hosts. It was just perfect for relaxing and enjoying. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day. Being able to get out in the canoe was so much fun. All the best

Perfect Giethoorn hosts and location!

Kind and hospitable hosts, perfect location to enjoy all that Giethoorn has to offer, delicious breakfast, quiet, comfortable...list goes on! And did I mention the canoe!?! We spent a perfect October day exploring the waterways, stoping in to enjoy local eateries here and there. Could not have been a better stay! A big big thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Wundervolles Wochenende

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Giethoorn. Wir sind von Yanny u Koen freundlich empfangen worden. Die Unterkunft war perfekt sauber, die Betten waren überzogen u man konnte wunderbar darin schlafen. Handtücher waren ausreichend vorhanden. Die Küche ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet u sehr sauber. Jeden Morgen wurden wir mit einem liebevoll zubereiteten Frühstück begrüßt. Es war wundervoll. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Fabulous place to enjoy this lovely town

The apartment was amazing! It is located right in the heart of South Giethoorn (where all the good stuff is!), with ice cream and treats just two houses down, several restaurants very close by, and also very close to the historical sites and boat rentals. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed (although we mostly ate out), and the views from the patio and upstairs windows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and more than enough for us. There were even some snacks in the apartment for those in-between times. The shower was great and plenty hot, and the bathroom had two sinks and a separate toilet space. The best part, though, was the owners Janny & Koen. They were so kind and thoughtful. I was there not just for vacation but also to learn about my local family history, and Koen helped me find information online that I had not seen before. Janny and I could have sat and talked for days, and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and shops. She even made to-go breakfast when we were leaving for the train in the morning. It was also unusually hot weather when we stayed, and they not only showed us where three fans were, but also gave us a fourth one to use. I couldn't have had a better experience, and I am grateful for my new Dutch friends!

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung mittendrin in Giethoorn

Sehr liebe Gastgeber, die uns immer mit einem süßen kleinen Frühstück verwöhnt haben. Die Ferienwohnung ist super ausgestattet, bequeme Betten und sehr sauber. Wir hatten wundervolle Tage dort. Leckere Restaurants für Abends kann man super zu Fuß erreichen.
