"The yard is awesome, of course the hot tub at the top of the hill was the best, and we enjoyed the firepit as well. The house was a tidy little cottage at which we enjoyed our stay. It’s within a short walk to the National Park and downtown Miller Beach. The neighborhood is fine, pretty secluded, and still close to most attractions."

Also had the option to walk directly from the house for the Miller Woods trail and Miller Woods Beach. Backyard was great for relaxing after a day of hiking. "We all just loved it here, all the beds are very comfortable, everything is in good working order. Communication with managers was prompt and easy. We would have appreciated an orientation book, to minimize hunting for first aid kit; we didn't find it until the end of the last day. There is one or two bathrooms that have no towel racks, so door nobs had to do. We also thought the check in early and check out late fees were way too high. "We enjoyed our visit to Gary. The property was very nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Not an area for dining or shopping, but quick access to the whole city. Weren’t able to control the thermostat and didn’t figure out the alarm system right away, but really enjoyed the game room and televisions. Overall, a very enjoyable and positive experience. Thanks."

"Stayed in Naomi’s home for a weekend with some friends visiting from out of town! We had a great time and was pleased with the home + it was very comfortable and easy to drive to the beach. The paddleboards and beach chairs that came included for our use were awesome! There were some small issues - one of the bedrooms had a duvet that unfortunately smelled and we had to remove it, and while we were staying we experienced issues with the hot tub that were not resolved by the time our stay ended,...

"This hotel is really an apartment building whose lower floors are for renting. The workout gym is fantastic - the hot tub has a view (fireworks in the summer Wednesdays and Saturdays). The location is nice with lots of restaurants nearby - and 0.5 miles from the Art Institute. Staff were very friendly - and they should note that there really is a small convenience store/coffee stop just two doors down - for food, snacks, wine, etc!"

"This was the perfect base for our family Chicago vacation. We stayed in the 3-bedroom unit, and it had plenty of space for the four of us. We loved the views of the city, and the location was perfect for all the attractions we wanted to see. It was a short walk to the L, but we’re a family who likes to walk, so we were able to get most places on foot fairly quickly. The beds were comfortable, linens soft, and all the amenities were nice. "We had a great stay at the Funky Turtle. The house was clean and just enough space for my family of 5. The house is close to campground bathrooms if the occasional extra bathroom is needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, use of the grill, and sitting on the porch. Our only complaint is about the noise but it was clear from the map that the campground was located near an interstate. "The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area."
