La Casetta del Borgo - San Gimignano vacation home with private garden and pool in a Resort in the heart of Tuscany.

From this year we have high band internet WiFi with Starlink.

La Casetta del Borgo is located in a Resort near Montignoso, a little village located on a hill at 500 meters high, near Castelfalfi Montaione and Gambassi Terme. The area is renowned and popular for the extension and the beauty of the woods and the richness and wholesomeness of its SPA sources.

The famous medieval town San Gimignano is only few minutes away, Volterra 30 minutes. Thanks to its favorable geographical position in an hour's drive can be reached the main art cities of Tuscany such as Siena, Florence, Pisa and Lucca. Very near to the small villages of Pienza and Montepulciano, and to the countryside of the Chianti vineyards of Brunello di Montalcino.

The apartment is on the ground floor with a private garden of 60sqm. La Casetta del Borgo is a two-room apartment, spread over one floor, has a kitchen/living room with sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower WC and bidet. The kitchen room incorporates kitchen stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle, moreover is furnished with a large 2-seater sofabed and TV DTT. It's present an autonomous heating system for the period autumn / winter.
The finishes are excellent and numerous references to historical items and the Tuscan tradition, such as wooden beams, terracotta tiles on the floor, fixtures in wood, stone facings.

We have a garden with a large umbrella and a table with 4 chairs, so our guests can make breakfast, lunch and dinner in our garden in direct contact with nature.

The access to swimming pool is totally free. An elegant outdoor furniture with loungers and umbrellas to complete the pool area surrounded by green space and paved solarium with large natural stones creates a perfect symbiosis with the site and offers himself for relaxing moments.

We have a private parking car lot inside the Resort.

We are completely surrounded by woods, near San Gimignano, 30 minutes from Volterra, 1 hour from Siena Pisa & Florence. You can find also many typical tucany restaurants and shops in San Gimignano or in Montaione and Gambassi Terme (10 minutes away).

La Casetta del Borgo is well suited for a relaxing and romantic vacation for a couple or a family that would like visit also the most famous cities in Tuscany.

Sehr nette und entgegenkommende Vermieter. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und liegt in einer ruhigen und gepflegten Anlage. In 17 km Entfernung erreicht man mit dem Auto den Bahnhof von Castelfiorentino und kann von hier aus bequem mit dem Zug Florenz, Pisa und Siena besuchen.

Perfect place to discover beautiful Toskana

The apartment is a perfect little Oasis to spend a quiet day sitting on the nice terrace or enjoying a swim in the great pool. It is also a perfect starting point to discover the beautiful towns and cities within little driving time. There are a few really good restaurants nearby too. It’s a pity for the place as such that the tennis courts and the restaurant on the property are not in use and falling apart. Nevertheless we didn’t miss anything and had a wonderful time!!!

Einfach, traumhaft, wunderschön und erholsam

Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war super und sehr freundlich. Die Wohnung entsprach meiner toskanischen Vorstellung und auch der Pool dahinter wundervoll. Meine Ausflugsziele waren alle von der Wohnung aus sehr gut mit dem Auto erreichbar, da der Aufenthaltsort sehr zentral liegt. Tolle Restaurants und tolle Kleinbauern in der Umgebung, um leckeres Olivenöl oder auch eingemachtes Gemüse oder auch Pastasauce zu kaufen. Ich bin so beeindruckt, ohne große Erwartungen gehabt zu haben, dass ich meinen Urlaub hier nächstes Jahr fortsetze.

Romantisches Appartement mit kleinem Garten

Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einer etwas abgeschiedenen, älteren Ferienanlage, die jedoch mit einem sauberen Pool und teilweise gepflegten Gärten punktet. Die Wohnung selbst war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und nahezu vollständig ausgestattet, sodass wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Nähe zu San Gimignano, was die Lage trotz der Abgeschiedenheit ideal macht. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war äußerst warmherzig und hilfsbereit, und sowohl der Check-in als auch der Check-out verliefen absolut problemlos. Die Kombination aus freundlichem Service, schöner Einrichtung und ruhiger Umgebung hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir würden diese Ferienwohnung definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Nette, ruhige Unterkunft mit freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermietern.

Die Unterkunft ist mit Liebe eingerichtet worden. Wir haben während unseres Aufenthaltes nichts vermisst. Besonders der große Tisch auf der Terrasse lädt zum gemütlichen Frühstück ein. Wir waren im September hier und die Anlage war nur wenig belegt, so dass man auch ruhige Tage im Haus verbringen kann, wenn man mal nicht die alten italienischen Städte ringsum besucht. Für jede Herausforderung unsererseits hatten die Vermieter immer eine schnelle Antwort und eine gute Lösung parat.Vielen Dank nochmal für den schönen und problemlosen Aufenthalt.

Charming Tuscan Casetta

We stayed at this very charming Tuscan Casetta for a week in June, it was the middle week in our three week holiday to Italy. We found the quiet peaceful location exactly as the owners described It is set within Borgo La Fornace, a hotel and spa complex with restaurant/ bar, lovely grounds, there are also three swimming pools with numerous loungers, shaded areas for that relaxing day out from touring the wonderful countryside. The location is perfect for day trips to the most beautiful towns and hamlets within the Val D'ELSA. A slow drive takes you to San Gimignano,then onto Volterra, a most magical medieval town, you can do this easily within a few hours then back to relax in the sun drenched garden of the Casetta for your glass of prosecco. For trips further afield take your car to Castlefiorentiono (car park next to train station £3 for the day) for travel to Florence (40mins) or Siena by train for as little as £9 return. Both Tania and Paolo were the most amenable hosts and their property is highly recommended.

Kurzer aber sehr schöner Besuch in der Toskana

Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr ruhig, war sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir waren zu zweit Ende August für 5 Nächte dort. Zu dieser Zeit waren die meisten Ferienwohnungen in der Anlage nicht belegt. Die nächste Ortschaft ist ca. 5-10min mit dem Auto entfernt. In der Nähe (ca 10-15min mit dem Auto) sind mehrere Restaurants, in der Anlage selbst gibt es kein Restaurant. Das sich auf dem Gelände befindliche Hotel dürfte schon seit Jahren leer stehen. Florenz (ca. 1,5h), Siena (ca. 1,5h), San Gimigiano (ca 3/4h), Pisa sind alle gut zu erreichen, wer schon mal in der Toskana war kennt ja die Straßen abseits der Hauptverkehrsstraßen und deren zum Teil nicht so tollen Zustand.

Die kleine, aber feine Unterkunft war für uns als Paar ideal. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Den Garten haben wir täglich zum Abruhen und für die Mahlzeiten genutzt. Da unser Urlaub in der Vorsaison lag, war es in der gesamten Anlage wunderbar ruhig. Die Kommunikation mit Paolo lief bestens. Kleine unerwartete Probleme wurden sofort gelöst. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

wunderschöne Landschaft

Die liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung liegt inmitten der Bilderbuchtoskana. man benötigt zwar unbedingt eine Auto und sollte sich nicht scheuen die kurzen, aber dennoch längeren Strecken nach Pisa, Florenz,... zu unternehmen. Die beiden Pools der kleinen Anlage sind aber ebenfalls wunderbare Entspannungsplätze. Der Garten vor dem Haus selber ebenso.

Niet ons ding

Het appartement lag op een familiepark in de Toscane en het zag er bij aankomst onberispelijk uit. Wat ons wel direct opviel is dat het park ietwat aan verval onderhevig is. Een receptie + hotel wat leeg stond. Tennisbaan niet meer onderhouden. Daarentegen was het huisjesgedeelte in prima staat. Om een hapje te eten moet je sowieso altijd het park af en verdere vermaak dan een zwembad is er niet. Voor ons een eenmalige keuze want je bent continu getuige van de medebewoners: kletsende moeders, blaffende honden en jengelende kinderen.

Schöne kleine Ferienwohnung in einer nett gestalteten Anlage

Für zwei Personen super geeignet, zu viert war es etwas eng, aber das wussten wir vorher und wollten das trotzdem mal ausprobieren. Der Pool ist gleich um die Ecke auf der anderen Seite des Gebäudes, die Atmosphäre war dort immer sehr schön. Wir haben viel Zeit dort verbracht, weil es die ganze Woche ziemlich heiß war. Dadurch konnten wir in der Woche nicht zu viele Unternehmungen tagsüber machen. Gerade Wandern durch die schöne toskanische Landschaft stelle ich mir schön vor, zumal die Anlage etwas abgelegen ist (Montaione und Gambassi Terme, sowie San Gimigniano in der anderen Richtung sind jeweils gute 10 Autominten entfernt). Der kleine Garten hat einen riesigen Holztisch und einen Sonnenschirm. der vor allem vormittags etwas bringt, nachmittags ist der Schatten vom Haus dann wieder hilfreicher. Auf der Anlage durften wir auch den sehr freundlichen Hund eines netten Mitarbeiters kennenlernen, ein sehr schönes Tier mit weißem Fell (ein Maremmen-Abruzzen-Schäferhund), den unsere Kinder schnell ins Herz geschlossen haben und der einmal am Tag "zu Besuch" in den Garten kam, nachdem wir uns mit ihm angefreundet hatten.
