"We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Chester. Although, not directly in the centre, it is only a lovely 15 minute walk along the canal to get there. The hotel is modern, with reception located at the bar. The atmosphere was lively and you also get a complimentary drink voucher on check in. A nice touch. "We took our grandchildren for the evening. The only downside was we arrived at 6.10 and the pool for the children closed at 6. Had we known, we’d have arrived earlier. The room was a bit dated but clean and big. There were 3 beds so it was comfortable and spotless. The staff were absolutely lovely. We went in the pool the following day and it was gorgeous. The kids loved it. The products throughout were Elemis which was a luxury. We will definitely be going again."

"Lovely clean room, staff very friendly especially the chef at breakfast. Good choice of hot and cold breakfast options regularly topped up so everything is nice and fresh. 5 minute walk to tourist attractions, bars and restaurants however still in a quiet. Only tiny thing for me is that I like bread rolls and cheese slices with my breakfast and they only had sliced bread (brown and white) but that was a tiny point :)"

"The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too. However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "
