Firefly Resort: House & Cottage on 10 acres. BBQ deck, pool, tennis court, lawns

  • Welcome to Firefly Resort. Ten acres of lawn, gardens and bushland await you! The House and Cottage combined accommodate up to 18 guests. An in-ground pool and inner lawns are framed with hedgerows and paths that lead to the cottage orchard and larger grassy areas, which gently slope down to the front dam. An ideal space for a romp, pet exercise, or an afternoon/sunset picnic. With its location and all the amenities on offer, Firefly Resort is ideal for large group/family getaways.

    Together, Firefly House and Cottage accommodate up to 18 guests.
    The house welcomes 10 guests, with 3 bedrooms (2 ensuite), large kitchen, and adjacent open plan dining. The dining area boasts valley views, and leads to the BBQ entertaining deck and large in-ground pool. A wraparound verandah steps onto hedgerow-lined lawns, leading to a natural bush setting at the rear of the property, and the cottage and open grassy areas at the front.

    Firefly Cottage accommodates another 8 guests. The cottage's open-plan living area contains kitchen, dining, log fire... and yes a full size pool table! Also downstairs is the bathroom with a spa bath, and a sofa bed for 2 guests. Upstairs consists of a large timber loft bedroom, set up with two beds for 4 guests. An additional self-inflating (very comfy) queen airbed can be set up for an extra 2 guests. The loft balcony is a great place to enjoy sunsets over the entire property and the valley beyond.

    The pool area and tennis court - together with the grassy areas, pergola, firepit, orchard and rear bushland - provide for great outdoor experiences at the property all year round.

    The property is located In the Manning Valley; 30 mins from Forster on the coast, and 30 mins from Gloucester … gateway to Barrington Tops National Park. A quick 5 min drive finds you in Krambach village, with country pub and bistro, and coffee shop opposite. A 15 minute drive finds you in the village of Nabiac, with more pubs, cafes, bottleshop, mini-supermarket and service station.

    At day's end, the BBQ/Entertaining deck is the place to be - relaxing and dining with your group as you enjoy sunset views over the valley.

The property was exactly what we wanted for our stay. Perfect place to stay to have some quiet time or socialising if that’s what you’re looking for. Plenty of room to have time to yourself and yet great areas to bring everyone together.Mike was a great host adding to a wonderful stay.

Firefly resort was absolutely beautiful and full of country charm. We had a big group and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax over the weekend. Mike was the perfect host and was so accommodating.We are looking forward to our next stay!

We had a wonderful stay. The style of both the house and the cottage are beautiful and Mike was a great host.We especially loved the pool and bbq area and really enjoyed the rural setting in general. The area itself is also stunning. We loved it all, from the beaches and golf courses in Forster/Tuncurry to the chicken schnitzels in the Krambach pub. Great area and wonderful accommodation.

We had an amazing weekend stay! With 12 adults and 8 kids, the place never felt crowded and had plenty of space for everyone to relax. The kitchen was fantastic and well-equipped, making group meals easy. The pool was a highlight, and the kids especially loved feeding the fish and ducks. Mike and Christine were wonderful hosts - friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

Excellent weekend away

Was a pleasure to have stayed at Mike and Christines property this week. Great local stay in a quiet setting. The space was massive and provided more than enough room for our group to enjoy the scenic setting.Would definitely return for another weekend outting.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The large spaces and well-maintained pool were a great feature, and the children particularly enjoyed watching the ducks. Mike was very friendly and accommodating to the children’s interests, even organising a horse feeding opportunity for them with the neighbouring property.

Great for a short break

Had a great weekend here with a large group of friends. Place was perfect with a pool and games room and ducks wandering by the house each day. Close to Foster too for a day trip. Would stay again.

Our Stay at Firefly

This was the perfect place for our extended family holiday. The property & cottage were spacious and comfortable, and the pool and entertaining deck were the highlight. The host was very accomodating and hospitable, would highly recommend!

Mike was a great host! Communication was amazing, Mike answered all of my questions. The property was beautiful, exactly as described and the pool was the cream on the top with many hours spent in there. Our family gathering for a 70th birthday was made memorable with such a beautiful setting and thoroughly enjoyed by our family of 16 with plenty of spaces for everyone to spread out and enjoy.Thanks again Mike

Our family of 14 found this stay perfect for us. The grand kids loved the pool and tennis court and the adults loved the common areas and the pool table. It was the small things that impressed us too. Condiments, body wash, conditioner, sun block, insect repellent and toilet paper were supplied. Mike the host was responsive to my messages and he was great. Thanks Mike.

Everything you need for a great weekend away. Plenty to keep you entertained. Plenty of rooms and beds. Kitchens loaded with all the necessities you need. Stay here. It’s fantastic. Made memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Great group getaway

We really enjoyed the space and privacy afforded by the property. The flexible configuration of sleeping arrangements was great for our group and not something easily found in accommodation options. Overall a much enjoyed rural getaway.

Beautiful Place

I Went here with me and my friends (11 of us). this place was perfect. We stayed over a heatwave so the pool was the place to be as well as the nice air conditioning inside. The place looks amazing and many games of pool where played in the games room.

Nice Weekend Getaway

The property was really nice overall with lots of things to do. The pool was a great place to be cause it was quite hot. We really enjoyed the many facilities available at the property. The hosts Mike and Christine were also super friendly and always happy to help. Overall a really great stay and would recommend to others.

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this property for large family groups. There was plenty of room for our family of 16, and the house was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The property was very clean and well maintained.The tennis court was a huge hit and was in constant use all weekend for family tennis matches. There was plenty of space for cricket games, and spotlight games after dark with the kids. The facilities were excellent, with a great BBQ, a large oven for cooking meals, and fire pits.Although we didn't use the pool due to it being winter, it looked beautiful and very clean. The fireplace stoves kept the houses warm and cosy, and there was also additional heating available when needed.Mike was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The kids especially loved when he took them to feed the horses and ducks, which was a real highlight of the trip.Overall, we had a wonderful time creating special family memories and would happily stay here again.

Perfect for a group

We stayed at Mike's place when competing as a team in a rowing regatta in Taree. It was the perfect place to come back to at the end of the day and jump in the pool. There were so many sleeping options which made it perfect for our group. We will be back again next year.

A delightful retreat you won’t want to leave

Mike is warm and friendly host who made it easy for a much anticipated family get together. Our group of 6 adults and 7 teenagers had all the space and facilities to enjoy a great long weekend. The fires and beautiful bush setting were stand outs. Thank you Mike.

We'll be back again!

My friends and I stayed here for our annual Summer trip and absolutely loved it! 12 of us all up. Great for big groups; long dining table, pool with outdoor chairs, pool table in the cottage etc. The tennis court was also great. We all loved it and plan to rebook for next year's trip!
