"We have stayed at the Hopping Hare a few times. It is a great pub, the food is very good, and the staff are very helpful. We would recommend the Hopping Hare to anyone. Only down side is getting to the rooms can be a little tricky - narrow passage ways and stairs."

"Nice pub/dining/hotel. Plenty of parking and a large day/nighttime menu. Breakfast was very good. Good friendly atmosphere. Good staff. Rebecca on reception who also managed the bar and dining was very helpful. Also a mention for Christina. Recommended. "

"Slightly tired, but spacious, relaxed and quiet property. Room very large and well laid out with good beds and plenty of sockets for charging etc."

"Our stay was really nice,as our hosts were so so kind and attentive,nothind was too much trouble for them. We had a few drinks in the bar before enjoying a nice meal. Cannot praise our hosts enough for their help and kindness in making our brief 1 night stay enjoyable. "

"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"While one could nit-pick (receptionist seemed surprised to have to explain the set-up to us, we'd never been before, broken light in the bedroom flashing and clicking, fan in the bathroom not working, whole place pretty shabby and tired-looking) nonetheless the bed was comfortable, the black-out was good, there was no road noise and the shower was smashing. Overall, amazing for the price. I'd go back."

"The staff in this hotel are very friendly and helpful and helped to make this an enjoyable trip. The check-in was efficient and the restaurant, especially the bar, was a really nice space with nice decor and lots of light. I ate a delicious breakfast, salad for lunch and a delightful meal in the restaurant. Good vegetarian and vegan choices if required and clearly seen on the menus. The grounds are pretty and the location is easy to find. There is an old disused railway track that provides a...

"Nice big room however it is a bit tired. The mattress was lumpy, TV remote did not work very well and only way to turn TV off was to unplug it and shower head was covered in a brown deposit. Getting into the room was not easy on first floor but the floor was not level so I had to go down a few steps then up again in quite a narrow space. "
