"What a great property and home. We saw all kinds of wildlife there. The home has a lot of information of what to do around the Bedford area. Clean and comfortable place to stay. Just remember to bring bug spray, the area all around has a lot of mosquitoes even in Bedford. "

"We stayed at Perched in the Trees to celebrate our anniversary. It was perfect! Such a lovely retreat that feels so far away and secluded, but is close to great food and attractions. We were especially impressed with our takeout dinner (the crab cakes were delicious!) from Jimmy Joy’s, which we enjoyed eating on the screened porch. "This property was exceptional, and the Penrod’s were gracious hosts. If you are looking to get away and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of nature, or if you enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and everything outdoors, this place is for you! Sharing this experience with my 3 teenage kids, I never heard once that they didn’t have anything to do. They loved it here and the amenities were everything we needed! "

"Our family greatly enjoyed spending time together at this lovely cottage and nearby Raystown Resort. The location was also unbeatable. "

"Gorgeous views from a wonderful cabin! We enjoyed hiking in the mornings followed by relaxing afternoons on the back porch. Plentiful shade in the afternoons and evenings as well as cool mountain temps and breezes. "

"Wonderful host! Beautiful campsite! Clean Port-a-potty, with 2-ply toilet tissue! Awning over a picnic table for a nice dinner, there's a grill, fire ring, wood supplied and chairs. We camped at "Big D's Pond", one of his two camping sites. The only drawback is that there's no place to wash/clean up. "Hippie baths" All in all, you will not be disappointed!"

"Absolutely fantastic! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and the view is phenomenal. We had five adults and had a great time with the outdoor games. Would be suitable for kids as well. We didn't want to leave and would absolutely stay again as we had a great stay and enjoyed every minute. Hosts were also great - they were immediately responsive to our needs (only needed a new propane tank for the grill) and so friendly. "

"This was a great property! Clean. Plenty of room for everyone. Love the screened porch. There was a big field to the side where we did our “camping Olympics” and great for the dog to run around. The creek was good for floating and there were some nice trails. Close to a grocery store but still completely secluded. Quick communication with the host.WiFi was shoddy- but was better if all of us were not on it at the same time- we don’t use it much anyway. . Would be great to have a better...
