"This is a great hotel, the price and the quality is top notch. I think the only downside is the block south of the property so if you’re not use to homeless people with mental issues ( which leave you alone) you might be surprised but if you stuck to the north and east you are fine everything is super walkable. "It was a good hotel with a nice location and helpful staff, but there was a hidden fee. They charged me during check-in, and Expedia didn’t include this extra charge, so I had to pay an additional $29 per day, which didn’t make sense."

"Great location. We walked everywhere. Food, bars, transportation, pharmacy was not too far, groceries next door, walked to the Hop On Hop Off Trolley. It was not that far from the hotel. Staff was great. There was a good selection of food for breakfast. Definitely our choice of hotel for whenever we come back to Portland. Thank you."

"This may have been the best hotel stay I have ever had. The hotel itself is in a great location, is well decorated and very comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was so surprised to be provided with a lovely bottle of wine when we checked in. We were also present on a night when there was live music on the rooftop with more wine. "The hotel is in the worst part of Portland. They have no parking unless you pay an $80 valet fee. This you have to pay since there is no parking in the streets unless you want to risk parking in an area full of junkies and thieves. The Hoxton knows this, hence the ridiculous “valet fee” plus tip! I was able to park my car in a parking garage after a half hour of stress and exhaustion from my trip. Turns out that’s EXACTLY the place they park the valeted cars you pay $80 for!! RIPOFF JOINT"

"The staff is great, very helpful. The hotel is a hip, quirky boutique establishment, with lots of unique aspects. Check out almost any games or athletic equipment from the front desk. Hotel does need some upkeep maintenance. My room was perfect, but others reported their A/C did not work. The courtyard was closed while we were there due to resurfacing the wood plank flooring, which was actively happening. I would recommend this place"
