"All the staff I encountered were really great--super cool and conversational, but the room was a real disappointment. I walked through the door and walked into a wall of stench. It smelled like wet dogs had vacationed in the room. I usually sleep like a rock, but the stink kept me awake for a while. The shower was also not clean. "

"We loved our stay at the Paramount Hotel! The location was excellent, right on a plaza in downtown Portland with great access to the MAX network. The staff was friendly, and they checked us in early which was nice! Definitely recommend"

"Our stay was good and the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Though the hotel applied $100 flat pet fees which is very high and should be mentioned somewhere prior to booking. They also don't have parking space, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy and charge $55 for valet parking. Overall a little inconvenient given the parking situation."

"To be fair, there was an event happening all around the hotel which certainly impacted the feel and seclusion. The rooms look like they could use updating and polish - they were pretty banged up. No safe or closets in the room. No free water in the room though they did have carafes in the lobby. Our “river” view consisted of peeking very hard through a brush of trees to see a glimpse of river. Everyone seems pretty checked out here - no one to greet you or tell you how to valet - friendly enough...

"Staff was very welcoming and helpful from the moment we walked through the doors. Every time we left the hotel and came back, someone at the front desk always greeted us. Self-parking was easy. We had a queen sized bed. Shampoo, conditioner, body gel, hand soap, and lotion all had the same great scent. Towels were luxuriously thick and absorbent! "Spent a few nights and based my stay on previous ratings, which were positive and accurate. Was traveling with my bike and the valet stored it in a secure location with the bikes they have available for guests. Ate a breakfast one morning at the cafe and the food was tasty and portions generous. Attentive and friendly staff. Definitely would stay here again."
