"Loved the accommodations and lake!! We brought our own pontoon and launched it from the public access across from the house. Easy in, easy out. Used the fire pit a couple of times. Loved the fire and not having to pay extra for the firewood. We’ve had to do that at other places we’ve stayed. Loved the house and layout. Plenty of space for everyone (8 adults, 1 infant). Easy access to neighboring towns. Went to Charlevoix one day (25min drive) and got pizza from BC pizza in town. Would stay here...

"Listing states the property is 2 bedrooms plus a loft. Please note that the second bedroom is located in a separate structure that is not attached to the house. This was not clear in the listing. If you are staying with small children, I would not recommend this property.Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. The floors in the separate structure had clearly not been cleaned. "Amazing! We lived in Charlevoix 55 yrs ago as newlyweds in the Coast Guard. Husband spoke with Earl Young to rent the Half House. Couldn’t afford at 150 mo!!! ! So this was soo fun. Beach down the hill, town is walk able everywhere. It’s pretty much original so enjoy the history of it!!! We’ll be back!"

"We had the best family vacation at Jeff’s place. There were 6 adults and 5 kids with plenty to do for all ages! The paddle boards and kayaks were a big hit and the large game room. The water is shallow and clear right off the dock which was perfect for our kids! The sunsets were amazing! We hope to come back again! "

"This spot is close to downtown Petoskey, yet far enough that you feel away from it all. We rented a canoe and did 5 miles down the Bear river, which brought us back to the camp site. Beautiful scenery and peaceful. The bathroom/shower house was clean and had plenty of hot water. Don't forget the bug spray, being close to the river did bring mosquitoes. We had a great anniversary weekend and would definitely return! "

"Cabin was very clean, cute, and cozy! We brought our 1 year old for his first trip up north. This was a great location for us. 30 min from the beach we like to go to and about 5 min from downtown harbor springs. Owner and kind neighbors gave us firewood that lasted us the entire week which was wonderful. Lots of s’mores made! If you have young ones the cabin is right by the street, so you gotta keep an eye out so they don’t run into the road but our guy did just fine. Would definitely recommend...
