"I would have rated our stay a 5 except for one issue that was not resolved to our satisfaction. The washer did not drain properly and the staff took our clothing to rewash and dry them while the machine was repaired. No one ever came to repair the machine and when my clothes were returned, they were stuffed in a laundry bag and did not appear clean.
This hotel has many levels and stairs are unavoidable. We had stayed before and knew this so not an issue. Staff was very willing to assist...

"The room was modern and clean, however, the shower in the bathroom was a concern. Getting into the shower required stepping over a high tub which can be difficult for seniors. There is a glass partition which was not secure (hinged) and felt like it would swing out if you accidently leaned on it. Not the safest bathroom I have been in."

"Recommended! I stayed at the Moxy one night and was very pleased with my choice. It’s an easy walk (even with bags) from the airport terminal. My room was ready early so I was able to check in and get settled. The lobby has a wonderful book theme to the decor so I felt right at home.
My single-bed room was small but perfectly adequate for a solo traveler and immaculately clean. The bathroom was also small but not so much that it wasn’t workable. The floor of the shower was a little slippery,...

"We absolutely loved our stay. It was out of the business of Edinburgh and very unique to stay in the country side of Edinburgh. Very clean, extremely friendly staff, great breakfasts, tasty dinner at The Hearth, and easy to get in and out of from Edinburgh and neighboring areas like Dunbar and St. Andrews.
We also enjoyed to pathway to the Mary Queen of Scots monument and beautiful grounds. We struggled with hot water, but everything else made up for it!

"The hotel was very handy being so close to the airport and having the shuttle for 3 pds to the airport made it very easy. The bar and food was rear and made dinner an easy option. Breakfast included was an added bonus before catching a morning flight. I would recommend for sure for those travelling and using Edinburgh airport. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"It was ok. Location was good for transportation on buses or taxis. The room we got was definitely not a “luxury” hotel room or spacious like advertised and did not look like photos. There was no lift, so they should tell people they have to do stairs. The towel warmer didn’t work and there was no plug in for the hairdryer in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror. It had a bed and breakfast without the breakfast kind of feel, rather than a “boutique hotel,” so seems a little higher priced...

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."
