"We recently had a weekend getaway to this location. The property manager was very precise with our expectations and everything was as Advertised. The rustic feel was amazing. We spent much of our time in the hot tub, as it was winter with snow on the ground. We were just about 30 minutes away from Priarie Du Chein and Harper's Ferry and went to the winery. "6 friends for a weekend away playing cards, board games, a little shopping and food!! The property was well kept, secluded, clean and lots of nature!!"

"This was a great location. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. We were in the area for a long weekend of exploring the bluff country on bicycles and motorcycles and Houston is a good central point to take off from. The house itself was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. It could use a little more seating but is overall a great place to stay."

"We so enjoyed the views, weather, and deck. We spent a majority of the time sitting out on the deck visiting (although we did sneak in a few games of pool which was a riot!). We loved seeing the barges, trains, and wildlife. The kitchen had everything you could need and more! We slept great on the comfy beds. It was a lovely stay - we hope to be back!"

"We arrived at the properly late night. Michel was available for us and answered our questions right away. It’s perfectly located, close to Iowa and Minnesota. We drove to Brownsville MN to eat at a marina, the easy to go to La Crosse to have some great ice scream and walk by the river, and drove back to the Iowa side to have a beer in a local bar. It was amazing. The cabin itself it a magical place. You can just watch a movie and enjoy of a great view locking out the house, you can walk around...
