"Spectacular view offering a peaceful & tranquil view from the comfort of your room! This is the most charming place with extremely friendly owners who can't do enough for their guests. The down to earth atmosphere gives a sense of home away from home and if you're receptive to making friends, simply walk outside enjoy conversing with other travelers on the deck or around a fire. "Overall excellent time spent @ hotel. I forgot my eyeglasses & they were found by maid service. She was wonderful to turn into lost & found. Allie, at front desk, was so kind to arrange mailing it to my home. We will continue to stay @ Holiday Inn hotel for the best stay in UP. "

"Great place to stay! Close enough to walk into Houghton over the lift bridge. Bed was so comfortable, bathroom was wonderful, able to make waffles and have coffee in their lounge, staff was so kind and friendly. Already booked our next stay!"

"Our stay at the house was wonderful. Not only is the house beautiful but Pamela is fantastic and very accommodating. She was even insisting we part our motorcycles in the garage as there was rain coming. She personally stopped by to show us everything we needed to know in the house and even put breakfast items in the refrigerator for us to cook up! Definitely will stay again if we make it that way!"

"We loved the house and the property so much. The house has plenty of space for our family. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the vintage furnishings, they give character. I think this is the only rental I’ve ever been to with nice frying pans. The surrounding property is beautiful and we really enjoyed birding every morning. There was lots of room for the kids to run around and no worrying about cars since it’s at the end of the road."

"Nice historical property with a few modern touches. Great coffee and high quality snacks included. Communication was excellent! My only complaint is a matter of preference, the bed was too firm for us. Thank you! "
