"I was unable to contact the host. They did not respond to my emails and the phone was disconnected. I received an automated email from VRBO with the check in instructions but it it was wrong. Despite numerous calls to VRBO in the preceding week, they would not and refund the payment until I turned up at the property. When I arrived, the host was not aware that the property had been rented. I eventually received a refund but the whole experience was a disaster. "

"basically a hotel and house smells like cigarettes. lady started changing the sheets on the bed when we walked in 2 hours past check in, which should’ve been done PRIOR to the guest arriving. took like 5 minutes to answer the door even though she lives there as well, so there’s no reason to take so long especially if we called beforehand to let her know we were on our way. didn’t even have enough beds to accommodate me and my friend even though i said i put 2 ADULTS and sent a message during the...

"I enjoyed my stay -- the owner was communicative and flexible and it is clear they have thought of all the little things that folks might want for their stay. This spot is especially good for folks who need to work on the road. I particularly enjoyed having the extra monitor. This is an older house and comes with the charms of an older house, which I prefer over a chain hotel any day. "
