7. Key West Cottages

Centre de Chincoteague

"We love Key West, but we don’t want to fly or drive there anymore. Key West Cottages made us feel like we were in Key West. The cottage was beautiful and they’re all so colorful! I loved the crushed shell pathways. The wagons they provide for moving your things to the cottage are a great idea. We really enjoyed watching the sunset at the beach area. We were surprised that we could have used the pool in September, as it is heated. Next year we’ll bring our suits!"

8. stayAPT Suites Hampton

Coliseum Central

"After tailgating all day on my feet being able to self check in into a clean, cozy home like atmosphere, a hot shower and a comfortable bed was top tier. The staff that I encountered in passing were so friendly. A special thank you to the GM, Shauna, helped make it a pleasant stay with communication. Also being a pet-friendly stay there were no smells or an untamed perimeter. I only wish we’d stayed longer….next time"

13. Postcard Cabins Shenandoah, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

Stanardsville

"Anyone used to camping will probably enjoy this but it wasn’t the case for us. We usually stay at hotels but thought we’d try this since the pictures looked nice and reviews were good. Overall setting didn’t seem as nice as the pictures, and the space was smaller than we anticipated. This was more like “trailer in the backyard” than “cabin in the woods”, but again, it might just be due to the fact that camping is not our thing. Staff was attentive and room was clean."

Northeast Virginia Beach

"I booked this property pretty last minute to enjoy the oceanfront while I was in town for a family wedding. The property was clean and the front desk staff was very friendly. I didn’t use any of the amenities as I was off-site most of the days I was there. The oceanfront views are amazing, right on the boardwalk. The room was well stocked, had everything one could possibly need and then some whether you’re there for a night or a week. I won’t hesitate to stay here again should I need...
