"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. "It was small but had everything I needed. An instruction book for the combi oven/microwave would have been handy, and a rail to hang my clothes on. Very good shower. I did have problems locking the door from both the inside and outside. Great views, even though it was on the A66 it was very quiet."

"Stunning holiday stay exactly as described. Super responsive host. All the necessary amenities, plenty of room, wonderful outdoor spaces with incredible views. Several wonderful walks straight out the door and close to all things Lake District. Loved our stay. Especially the fireplace- at the end of a rainy day, there is nothing better than tea in front of the fire. "

"Lucy’s lodge was a lovely stay! Easy access, great location and cute lodge. Hot tub was fabulous and had no temperature issues, lovely and hot on arrival! Overall lodge was very clean, from kitchen to bedroom! No noise! Few minor issues need addressing such as shower doesn’t drain and water rises quickly while using. "The home was perfect for what we were looking for, which was just a home base to relax in and visit with family in the area. It has easy access to the rail station, grocery store, and downtown shopping and dining. The kitchen supplies were basic, but enough to put together some simple meals after a trip to the grocery store. The beds were very comfortable. There is a bit of traffic noise, but that’s really only because we were there in August and needed to open windows. We would stay again...

"The house was marvellous, spacious and charming but modern too. The kitchen area was clean, with lots of quality appliances and kitchen utensils, beds were very comfortable, the showers, bath and toilets were very clean and modern and in good working order.It's in a great location with lovely views and quick access by car or foot to nearby Kirkby Stephen. The nearby stream/beck provided hours of fun for the 8 year old with us. All in all a lovely holiday experience."
