"The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time. "Greeted upon arrival and given tour and history of property. Short time later provided cheese tray and choice of wine on screened in porch with the other guests, followed by fresh baked cookies. Very enjoyable. Short walk to the downtown area for all the dining and shopping areas, great location. Room was very clean and in good condition. Slept very well on the bed. We will stay here again on another Galena visit. "

"We stayed in the Lincoln room which was very nice. The Inn is walking distance from many shops and restaurants downtow. It is located on a hill and there are many stairs during the walk downtown. "

"This is a great location! Easy to get to downtown Galena in a few minutes. Country place without being too secluded. Very quiet neighbors. Residents were very cheerful and welcoming. Nice to have beautiful views and only a short drive to downtown Galena or Dubuque where there is more to do if you have kids staying or for a movie or dinner. Club where the pool is located is a very nice place. I would stay and this location again!"
