"Had an unexpected stop in Staunton, VA due to tire problems… booked the Blackburn Inn last minute to stay over and get van new tires. Pulled up and thought we were at wrong place. A beautiful historic colonial building looked like a college campus but was the Blackburn Inn. I researched and found out it used to be a hospital built in 1800’s. Very clean, well maintained and restored. The front desk allowed me to keep my room till noon on checkout while waiting for van repair. Only...

"The room had stains and tears throughout the room . The bathroom did not look very clean at all. There were brown stains on the ceiling that looked like oil marks ,brown rings in the sink and tub…holes and tears all over the floor- I would not go there again. To say it was just run down is an understatement."

"Staff was helpful for our very late check in and got us to our room. Unfortunately, room had a really bad smell. There was an ionizer in the room that was not plugged in when I asked about it, I was told it should have been removed and given a bottle of Lysol to spray in the room. In fairness I could have switched rooms but due to how late just wanted to get some sleep. The room smelled like someone probably was smoking in it. Maybe the reason for the ionizer."

"The room was old and the sink was broken the toilet tissues was used 3 pillows on a king bed door was broken . Look like it got bust open . Smh the room was way inthe back and it wasn't a good stay staff threw the coffe cream i asked for. Horrible. Rude and on his phone the whole time. It was supposed to be a smoke free room. "The images online are very misleading. The Econo Lodge part is the outdated two story building in the back, not the one in the front. Anyone, hotel guests or not, can access the building. Your room door is the only door you can lock. The carpet was like soaked in smoke even when it claims to be a smoke-free facility. The first room we were assigned was not cleaned yet. Though the front desk staff immediately changed the room for us, the second room was only slightly better with empty trash can...
