Waterfall Cottage Professionally Managed by Newman-Dailey

As cool as a waterfall on a hot summer day, the Waterfall Cottage offers you a refreshing vacation experience. This three-story vacation home is located in Crystal Beach and is just blocks from the beach, the Destin Commons - the only open air mall in Northwest Florida - and many other attractions.

Apart from its excellent location, the Waterfall Cottage has many inviting features. A tiled pool deck borders one side of the house. Lounge chairs, tables, and umbrellas all add to experiencing the Florida life style. And there’s even a grill ready and waiting for your next family cook-out.

Inside you’ll find a tastefully decorated home. Paintings of island paradises and palm trees will give you the feeling that you’re in a tropical oasis. The spacious well lit bedrooms all have unique one of a kind accent pieces. And from the very top floor you’ll have quite a view. All the accessories you’ll need are here, from a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, to a laundry room and the third floor kids area. The Waterfall Cottage really is an invigorating vacation retreat.

We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

This property comes with 2 parking spaces.

There are several pool towels provided for your stay but must remain in the vacation rental and not be taken home.

This pool can be heated between October- April for a fee day upon request to our office.

This home is dog friendly. You must pay a pet fee (please inquire about cost before booking) and provide up to date shot records.

This property is exactly how it’s listed, there are just a few things I wish would have been different like the decking and railings all together. The balcony was in a shape that I couldn’t let my granddaughters outside on this decking. It just needs a little love to make it back up to a 10. We loved the stay, we had enough for all of us, loved the pool!

September 2022 Stay

Of all the VRBO properties we have stayed, this was the only one that was disappointing. We were aware that all rentals' prices were much higher than in previous years - not sure if everyone is trying to recoup COVID losses quickly or not. For what this unit cost, it was not near as nice as all the others we have stayed. Interior finish work is poor - under and over paint, uneven towel racks, sticky doors, cable TV was inoperable when we arrived - fixed two days later. These are not deal breakers, but are easy fixes that do not indicate the property owner checks the unit for the obvious items that stand out. Living room furniture is inadequate and uncomfortable for a unit that is supposed to sleep 12. Response to the only issue we brought up - the cable system, was quick - techs tried to fix it the day we arrived, but it required a new cable receiver which they installed on Monday. I would rate the unit as OK, but overpriced for what it is.

Camping Club goes to the BEACH!

What a perfect house to accommodate our friend group! We had a wonderful week celebrating the high school graduation of our daughters. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was perfect also!

Poolside Workcation

Roomy 3 bedroom 3 bath home with a nice backyard pool. There were 4 adults and a dog in our group. We chose the upstairs room, they chose downstairs, so we had plenty of privacy. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony off the master bedroom. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We even found a putt putt golf place nearby. Had a great Workcation and can't wait to do it again. Note* Dogs not allowed in pool area, but there is a side yard, not enclosed where we walked our dog, and she enjoyed laying on the porch observing everything.

The house location is a short walk to beach and shopping. I first impression walking in was it could have been cleaner and meh. This house has so much more potential. The pool was very dirty when we first arrived, but could be easily taken care off. The landscaping around the pool and trees are over grown. A little TLC and all the mess in the pool would be taken care of. The pool guy did come a few days after we arrived and took care of the issue, but a day later, leaves and landscaping in the pool. Who ever is doing the remodeling is terrible. I would be upset if I owned the house and saw the crappy work done, dried paint on the floors, a hole in the wall were a kitchen cabinet had been taken down. My 13 year old even said something about the crappy job. Did these things make our vacation terrible, NO. We had a great time. Made a game out of getting the leaves off of bottom of pool. The dyer also broke when we were there. Still not a deal breaker.

Absolutely Perfect !!!

The house was perfect for our family- very clean and the kitchen was a great one to cook in ! We loved how close it was to the beach and really enjoyed the pool too. Absolutely loved the feel of the quaint neighborhood it was in- very cozy and extremely quiet.

Gross and Disgusting

The place was infested with roaches of all sizes, it did not look like it had been cleaned , extremely dirty carpet, sofa bed and all furniture, the sofa bed downstairs was full of old food crumbs , in addition shower drain clogged and bedroom doors were not closing properly. It was a terrible experience and a horrible place.

Great House!

House was great! Had everything we needed. Plenty of towels. Pool was loved by all! Beautiful plants/trees by pool making it special plus nice border from other houses. We had a fantastic time and will stay again.

The property was very dated. Lots of stains and poor paint patching.

In the midst of our trip we were told that there would be a delivery of a new refrigerator from Lowe’s. We felt obligated to stay and wait for this delivery because we had a dog that we were afraid would be spooked by the delivery. We had to empty the refrigerator, help the man who delivered it with the door and then reload and clean up the mess left by the delivery. We also had to work with the doors to get them to close properly. I just don’t think it was fair to us to have to be interrupted.

This is the 3rd time I answered this for you. I hope you get it ok this time. Waterfall cottage was nice and clean,good location,kitchen well stocked,beds were very comfortable.. ,plenty of room for all of us. The pool was great but it needs a handrail by the steps. No.w the not so good, much smaller than the pictures show. Terrible couch in the living room. Very cold inside,no way to turn up the temperature. The outside woodwork needs a lot of attention,rotting away. We had a great time and would come again. Maybe that house and maybe another in the same area. The owners better do a little TLC.

Great vacation home

There were a few issues with the house. Kitchen trash can lid was broke when we arrived, it would not stay on. No bulb in oven, refrigerator freezer kept freezing up, the loft mini fridge needs to be replaced there was so much rust in it I wouldn't even put a can of soda in it, outside outlet near electrical and cable box needs to be replaced, it was taped around to keep in place. My daughter (40yr) went to use the outlet and was shocked, receiving a burn on her finger and knocked flat on her butt. We paid extra for a heated pool, disappointed, could have been 4-5 degrees warmer, it didn't seem to filter well or continue to push in recirculated warm water. The living room sofa bed is tired and worn out. Lower bedroom closet and twin bed closet doors wouldn't shut, needs repair. In general the house could use some TLC. We did have to hammer down several nails on the front porch and back porch. On the bright side we had plenty of room for 6 adults, 3 tweens, a 2yr old and 2 small dogs. The house is close to beach, and anything else you wish to see and do in Destin. We had plenty of towels, kitchen well equipped, it would have been nice to have storage containers for food. Overall we all enjoyed our stay.
